Baby Cards

It is such a gorgeous day here in Sunbury today so I really should be outside with my boys but they are off playing next door so I thought I'd quickly post a couple of cards that I made last night!! They didn't take me long to make as they are quite simple cards but I think they turned out great!!

I've used the new Kaszazz jumpsuit stamp which I stamped onto the  new Jordan Belle paper and yellow card stock. The sentiment is from All that Scraps

I used the Stampin'Up baby tees rollagraph, coloured them in with Aquacrayons  and hung them on a piece of ribbon all stuck on embossed paper. Again I used the  Sentiment from All that Scraps.

Have fun and Enjoy!!

"Stitching" my Scraps

You ask anyone that knows me well and they would vouch for me when I say that I cannot sew.. I even struggle sewing buttons back on to things,  that is how bad I am!! I do not own a sewing machine and the only reason I own a needle and thread is cos I love to cross stitch. Saying all that I though I love to hand sew on cards. I think it can really make a card go from good to great!! So last night (using my scraps) I decided to join in the with this weeks Lil Lolita Boutique Challenge which is Stitches faux or real!! I only have two Lil Lolita stamps so I don't have too much of a choice which stamp to use but I really like Willow holding the flowers. And she looks different every time I colour her.. I don't have much stitching but it still qualifies. I actually won some doilies from a challenge I joined ages ago on the creatalicious challenge  blog and have never used them. So last night I thought I'd follow the sketch at the The Sweet Stop and it called for a circle to be used. So I got a doilie out but it was too big for my card so I just cut the inner circle out and stictched around the inside of it!! I think the end result turned out ok!!

I used Kaisercraft papers, buttons, made the flowers with Kaszazz punches and coloured willow in with aquacrayons and H20's and th doilie is from Bizzy Becs..

Here is another card I whipped up yesterday morning with my scraps. My sister wanted a little girls card and this is what i came up with!!

Missing MoJo

I started my scraps challenge last night and boy did I struggle... I had no direction, no creativity and it took me so long to come up with two finished products which I changed numerous times. Not sure I struggled because I was limited to what I had to use or I just had no idea what I was doing. So I wasn't going to post the photos of the cards I came up with (cos I really am not happy with them) but I set myself this challenge and who knows someone else might just like them (besides my boys) !!

I still need to add a sentiment to the baby card but that won't improve it at all!! Never mind... Will see how I go next time... Tonight I'm going to work on my Creative challenge that I do with my wonderful Kaszazz Team!!

Until next time, Enjoy!!

Scraps Challenge and another Magnolia Challenge

I was cleaning out all my papers today that I use for my cards and found that I had so many scrapsso I decided to set myself a challenge. I have challenged myself to make cards with only scraps that I have and not to touch a piece of patterned paper of cardstock till the majority of the scraps are used.... My paper bag that I store all my papers in was just getting out of control so I'm going to take action... I think I will manage as I think I have card stock in at least one of most colours of various shades to make cards with that is a start. And the amount of patterned scraps is just as much if not more... So I guess the other challenge will be not to buy anymore new papers either!! I sometimes buy papers and don't use them so perhaps that will be my next personal challenge. So below is a pic of what I have to work with Sorry about the pic - taken inside and late in the day!!... Now I know it doesn't look like a lot but it is when trying to store it in a small amount of space!!! So let the challenge begin!!!

Last night I decided to participate in the Magnolia Down Under Challenge and this weeks challenge is Fancy Folds. I love the way this card looks when it is finished and I made one awhile ago but recently gave it to a friend for their birthday. So I got my one and only Magnolia stamp out some kaisercraft papers and after a few changes today and some additions, this is my finished card!!

I originally had the flower paper behind Tilda as well but it was too busy and with Tilda coloured in similar colours to the paper she kind of got lost, so I got the striped paper and turned it over to the green side and it think it looks much better!! I've  used Crystal effects on the raised flowers and a pearl in the middle and kindy glitz on all the stem cos I love my bling!! The balloons are actually from a digi stamp that I got from Anne Bodil's site. She has some gorgeous layouts and cards and her digi stamps are very cute.. Very Me!!

So tonight I'll be scrapping away with my scraps.. May go in search of a challenge or two!!
Until then, Enjoy!!!

A day at Ben 10 Live and finished Kaszazz TTD projects

Took the boys to see Ben 10 Live today at Hi-Sense Arena  and to say they were excited would be an understatement! I think the girl on the train sitting next to us  wished she'd chosen somewhere else to sit after having 7 excitable boys talk (shout) about Ben 10. LOL!! The boys absolutely loved the show but personally I've never seen such overacting.. :)

So that was today... last night I finished my Kaszazz projects from TTD and I am very happy with the results.. Still trying to take the perfect photo (well more like learning to edit it to make it look perfect ) but I will learn that in time.so anyway, the photos on the layout are not permanently stuck down cos I think I want to find some zoo one's to put on there but I do still like the way it turned out!

The cards are close to what we were supposed to make but as usual I had to make my own changes. I can't help myself, I don't think I've ever made anything as per the instructions!!

This card is a gift card holder. The card has been perforated so the right hand side of the card can be pulled off.

All the cards and layouts have been made with the new release Kaszazz products.

Will be working on some new cards tonight so will hopefully get a chance to post again tomorrow!!
Until then, enjoy!!

Kaszazz TTD 2nd place winner!!!

Yesterday we had our Kaszazz Team Training Day and for the first time since I became a consultant (June 2009) I have to say I loved the new product release.. There has been nothing wrong with the previous releases but they just haven't appealed to me.. So I went in yesterday not knowing what to expect but had been assured I would love it and love it I did!!  I took my friend Sam along yesterday as she is more crafty than me  and usually i send her loads of pics from the day, so instead she decided to experience the day for herself!! Corinna and Kym hosted the day and as usual made the day fun and exciting! We got to do two workshops 2 scrapbooking pages and three cards all using the new products... Unfortunately (and as usual) I didn't finish any of my projects so you will have to wait another day to see those cos hopefully I will get them finished tonight!!
But I did enter three cards into the Show and Tell Challenge where you had to use at least one new pre-release Christmas stamp. And I won 2nd Prize!! I was very excited as there were some great creations as always!! I have decided to use these designs for my xmas cards this year so I can now start ordering everything i need to get these made!!
So here is what I came up with:
As part of the challenge and because it was a Kaszazz TTD I have used all Kaszazz products!!
I will post more pics tomorrow of the workshop projects we did!!
Until then, Enjoy!

Creatalicious Challenge

I decided to play along with the creatalicious challenge where you have to make something that has pink, brown and green in it and was going to combine it with Bizzy Becs September challenge which is cheerful Spring but decided my card wasn't really spring like. So I'll just enter it for the Creatalicious Challenge this time and I'll make another card for the Bizzy becs September challenge later on. I've not had much imagination lately so I used a sketch from The Sweet Stop to help me out!! So here is what I came up with:

I love this Sarah Kay stamp! She's so lovely to colour and comes up so different when coloured in different colour combinations. I've used American craft papers, kaisercraft patterned paper, someflowers from Bizzy Becs and not sure where the ribbon is from.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge

When I started this blog I thought that I would make a post everyday with a card I had made the night before but I just don't seem to have the time or the motivation lately!! So I've been looking at different challenges and one's that I haven't entered before so I can get some inspiration. I bought my first Magnolia stamp about a month ago and finally used it for the Tickled Pink Stamps Monthly Challenge (which you can see below this post). So I decided to play along with another challenge this week at Magnolia Down Under Challenges and this is what I came up with using a stamp that I borrowed from my friend Sam. I sat down and coloured it the other day while I was at work then wasn't too sure how I would use it... But I looked through my paper stash that matched the colour of Tilda's dress and followed the sketch... And Ta da!!!

I coloured Tilda with H2O's and added some rock candy distress stickles to her wings and icicle distress stickles to the star in her hand and headband to give it a bit of bling!!

Until next time... Enjoy your day!!

Tickled Pink Stamps Monthly challenge

I have had these cards made for a couple of days now but have not had the time to photograph them until today!! The photos aren't the best sorry but I will learn to edit them as I go along. So I decided to join in the with the Tickled pink Stamps Monthly challenge for a bit of inspiration and this month they have a sketch.. I always make 6 x4 cards so by habit I did this challenge as a 6x4 and I was quite happy with the result but after doing it and realizing I should have done a square card I got an idea in my head to do it as a T-slide card so using the same papers I redid it and I am very happy with how it turned out (well after I changed the picture) :)
Also at Tickled Pink stamps they will be celebrating their first birthday on the 1st of October so they are currently having a guest design team call and a chance to win some candy!!! So if you would like to join in the celebrations then head on over HERE. Goodluck!!!

Finally!!!

Finally I have a blog up and running... (about time I can hear some of you say!! :)) I may continue to make changes as I learn how to but at the moment I think I am happy with what I have done so far!! So I guess the point of this blog is to share all my creations which may not always be card or stamping related... I love to bake so I may at times post a pic of a cake or something else I've baked. To get me started and to get you interested I've posted a few cards that I have made recently. I love to join in with challenges and sketches but I mainly make cards cos it keeps my hands and my mind busy. I will in the future write a recipe of what products my cards are made with but for today I'll let you just look. So I won't blabber on anymore and bore you with my first post.... here is what I have made!!!!

This card is made using Kaszazz Products
A tri-fold card I made a while back using a Whiff of joy stamp

I have used a digital image and magnolia papers
