Lil Lolita Sketch

Just a quick post today as I have to go get my youngest son from Kinder shortly. I made this card for the Lil Lolita Boutique Challenge and this week we had a sketch to follow.. I think you can see that I've followed the sketch but as usual I needed to add my extra bits and sparkles. I have had this black and white flower paper I think since I started card making about 3 years ago but never used it. But now that I have become a bit better at making cards as soon as I spotted this paper in my stash I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it... I am very happy with the outcome..

I've coloured Willow in with aquacrayons and H2O's. Everything else that I have used I have no idea where I got it all from as I've it all for ao long.. i think the flowers are from Kaisercraft..

That's all for today!!
Until next time, Enjoy xx

Breast Cancer Awareness

Good evening!! I have just spent the last hour or so blog hopping for a cause and it was a very inspirational blog hop. 25 wonderful ladies around the world are a part of the Inking Pink Blog hop which has been inspired by a close friend of theirs, Elise who found out a couple of weeks ago that she had Breast Cancer!!!

They all wanted to spread the word about the importance of having regular breast checks with some very touching stories about close family and friends that have had breast cancer!! I too have a family member with Breast cancer, my nan, and at the age of 84,Ii would have to say she is a true fighter. She is fighting this disease head on and with such a positive outlook, good health and loving and supportive family by her side I believe she will beat this disease!!
So I urge you to join this blog hop to read inspirational stories of survival or at least do a breast examination and help fight this disease!!

Until next time, Enjoy xx

MIA...

Where have the past couple of weeks gone? I have had my sister staying with me this week so I haven't made any cards but last sunday I made a card for this weeks The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge.. The challenge had a spin this week to add lots of sparkle, which isn't hard for me as I love sparkle or bling or glitz... So here is what I came up with....

As usual I really wasn't sure what colours I was going to do so I found this kaszazz paper (scraps) and pulled the colours out of that and the stamp is a digital image (which I can't remember the site I got it from) that I found a while ago.. I coloured the image with H2O's and aquacrayons. And for the sparkle I used kindyglitz on all the flowers.

It was my sister, Allison's birthday this week and we don't usually exchange gifts but she loves peanut butter slices, biscuits, ice-cream etc so I decided to make a couple of slices for her. I had all intentions of just giving here a container of slice but I spied a magnolia stamp half coloured in on my desk which I though was perfect for what I had made so I went and bought a jar, tied some ribbon to it, finished colouring the magnolia image (which Sam kindly stamped for me) and ta da!!! I think it turned out really well... nice and simple but just turned a plain jar into something special!!!

Tilda is coloured in with Tria markers, and aquacrayons

So now that my sister has gone back to her house I will get creating again and I can't wait... Plus I just received my Kaszazz creative challenge this week so will be getting on to that as well...

Until Next time, Enjoy xx

Lil Lolita Creates 4 Fun

Since I started this blog I've found myself participating in more challenges. But  now I'm making less cards as I'm wanting to make my creations just as good as the other entrants in the challenges. I really love the way my cards look but sometimes think I don't have enough on them.. I really am a less is more kind of person so as you will notice I don't have tonnes of layers but is it enough???
Yesterday I bought Lil Lad "Frankie Frankenstein" from Tickled Pink Stamps at my boys request.. He is part of the new set of digi Lil Lolita's that was just released.
I actually had no intention, when I started making this card, of entering it into any challenges . I needed some guidance so I decided to look at the sketch from The Sweet Stop blog and start from there. As I was putting the finishing touches to it I thought I'd just have a look at what the challenge was this week at lil Lolita's Boutique challenge. And as if by fate the challenge was to use the colours purple, orange and black. So i thought what the hey, I may as well enter it. And while I was sitting at the compuetr an email came through from Create for Fun for their challenge this week and their challenge is to use a digi stamp so... bingo can enter that one too... So now that I have entered into five challenges this week I think I might finish making cards for a friend who ordered some awhile ago!!

Turned out pretty good didn't he!! You can't tell in this picture but I actually made the webs shimmer with some pearlized top coat smooch..

Ingredients
paper: graphic 45 and bazzill
image: tickled pink stamps
coloured with H2O's and aquacrayons

Until next time, Enjoy!!

Just Tickled Magnolia .....

Goodmorning, what a gorgeous day it is today... My son accidentally dropped our computer mouse last night and it's no longer working so it will take me a bit longer to do this post today but I will make do...Made this card last night and I am so happy with the way it turned out that I had to share it now rather than tonight. There are quite a few challenges that I wanted to join in with this week so I decided to combine them. This month Tickled Pink stamps have another sketch and to be in for a chance to win a prize you have to use a stamp that is sold by one of the company's in the Tickled Pink store. AS a lot of you would know Kellie started out selling just Magnolia's on her store but has now branched out and stocks some cute and quirky stamps.. So that challenge is covered... Magnolia Downunder challenge this week was a colour challenge - have to use blue, green, yellow and kraft somewhere on your card... I really struggled to figure out what shades of these colours to use but I knew what stamps I wanted to use so i coloured in Tilda first then found papers to match... so that challenge covered also... Now the third challenge is one over at Just Magnolia where the challenge is 2 x 2, so 2 buttons, 2 papers etc... I'm not actually sure if mine will qualify for this challenge but it should ... it has 2 buttons, two sets of rhinestones, 2 papers and 2 images. I guess only time will tell...
At the end of the day, I make these card for myself and entering them in challenges is just a way to get my creative juices flowing with the ideas!!!

Ingredients
Papers - Bazzill from kaszazz and flower paper from Prima
Stamps - Magnolia and the letterbox is a digi stamp but can't remember where I got it from.. I must start writing the blogs down cos I hate not acknowledging the illustrator.
Coloring - H20's, aqua crayons and tria marker G637
Sentiment - From all that scraps

Until next time, Enjoy

Just a quick Post

Getting late here but thought I'd post a card that I might just sneak in to the Lil Lolita Boutique Challenge which was a sketch this week!! I have pretty much followed it to a T... Again this was created using my scraps!!

It's not the best picture as I've taken it inside at night, so I might retake the photo outside tomorrow and replace this picture!!
I've coloured Willow with H20's and a Tria marker!!
Until next time, Enjoy!!

*I've updated this photo with one that was taken outside.. Much better photo now. I also added the flower which I think makes it look a little bit better!!

Spring Time!!

We are having such beautiful weather here in Sunbury the past couple of days.. I really must get out into the garden and get all the weeds out and plant my vegies and herbs...but  for now I thought I'd post a card I made last night out of my scraps (which i must say are going down quite rapidly). I am so happy with the way this turned out... It's simple but beautiful I think~!! I was going to enter it into the Bizzy Becs challenge but as usual I'm too late! LOL!! Never mind!! Will have to look at some more challenges tonight now that the kids are back at kinder and are in bed early so I have some time to create again!!
So here is what I came up with:

Ingredients
Stamp: Anne Bodil digi - coloured with aquacrayons and H2O's
Patterned paper: Kaisercraft
Cardstock: Kaszazz
Ribbon: Kaszazz
Sentiment: Stampin' Up

Will hopefully have some more cards to post tomorrow!
Until then, Enjoy!!

While I was away....

It's nearly the end of school holidays here and I must say I'm actually looking forward to getting back into our routine... Just spent the past couple of days up at Mt Dandenong with my very dear friend, Colleen and her family to celebrate her birthday and just to spend some time with her!! We went to the Tesselar Tulip festival yesterday and we all had a lovely time tiptoeing through the tulips... The kids loved looking for all the gnomes and going on the tractor ride!! Got some gorgeous photos of the boys in the tulips!!

My Boys

I also had some time to create some cards as Colleen is also a card maker, in fact she is the one that got me into making cards in the first place.. I always loved the cards I got from her so decided to try my hand at it and well you know the rest...
So here are a few of the cards I have made over the past couple of days.

I made the butterfly section of this card at paperific at the Heaven Scent stand and decided to turn it into a card rather than have it lying around being unused.

The green and orange card with the  cogs  was made at a stand (can't remember the name) at the paperific show so I turned it into a joy fold card.. All I did was emboss the brown card with a Tim Holtz embossing folder!

Hope you've enjoyed looking at my cards and until next time, Enjoy!!
