Another Pirate Card and another Blog Hop!!

If you are looking for the PCJ Summer Fete Blog Hop then head on over HERE!!

I'm so sorry..I said I would post another card yesterday and I was too busy trying to make a card for tomorrow's Blog Hop that I have been asked to be a part of!! I'll let you know more about that soon but first here is my card!!

Yep another pirate card!  I've had a few boys birthday's  recently and another couple coming up but I've enjoyed making them!! I  love these La La Land stamps, they are great to colour!! Used my tria's to colour the image but I coloured this ages ago so not sure of the colours I used!! The paper is from a pack from my local craft store and i just added the buttons, stars, skull and number 5 which was added after my four year old suggested I put a number on the card!! Thanks Logan.. Finished off the card beautifully!!

Now before I go I need to let you now about another blog hop that I am a part of tomorrow! It's Gill's  (from Creations by Gill M) birthday tomorrow and to celebrate she is having a "For the Love of Pink"blog hop to celebrate! Gill's favourite colour is obviously pink so we have to create a card or creation that is predominantly pink!! A hard task for me as I am not a lover of pink at all but I think I'm happy with the end result although it certainly isn't as extravagant as some of the things I have made lately!! I won't say anymore so you will just have to come back tomorrow and join in the hop and let me know what you think!!

Until Next Time... Enjoy!! xx

Stopping by to Say Hi!!

If you are looking for The PCJ Summer Fete Blog Hop then please click HERE.

I always feel like I create a heap of cards and crafts but never share them so I'm trying to make an effort and post on a more regualr basis!!! I have been making a few cards lately for birthdays so just wanted to share. Also wanted to share a mirror I made a long time ago when I used to do Decoupage!!

Before I show you what I have made I would like to welcome  my new followers!! Thank you for visiting and wanting to come back to see my creations!! I hope that I can inspire you as you guys inspire me!!!

So today I'm showing you a pirate card and the mirror!! Need to keep the rest so I can post again tomorrow!! hehehe!!

This is my Decoupage mirror I made about 10 years ago. (excuse my fingers in the pic - forgot I was taking a picture of a mirror-LOL) It has been sitting in my cupboard for so long and never used it for my boys so I gave it to my wonderful friend's Anthony and Kris who recently welcomed baby Matias to the family, joining their other two gorgeous boys!!

And this is a card I made for Anton.

Well that's it from today!! Will be back tomorrow with another pirate card!!

Until next Time... Enjoy!! xx

Fairy Day Blog Hop!!

If you are looking for the PCJ Summer Fete Blog Hop then click here!!

Hello and thanks for flying in for Creations by Gill M's Fairy Day Blog Hop

If you are taking part in the hop and have arrived from the fairy mad Gill's Blog then you have started at the right place but if you have just come across this posting while browsing around in blog land then hop back to Gill's Blog and fly along with us..

This is a hop with a difference as along the hop there are letters to find in the postings - not all blogs have the letters but if you gather all the letters then at the end of the hop on day 2 assemble them to create a fairy related word. If you then return to Gill's blog and enter the Mr Linky at the bottom of the post (do not reveal the secret word yet). After the hop Gill will contact someone at random and ask them to email her with the word - if correct they win some lovely candy.

I wasn't too sure what I was going to do for this hop as I have two boys so I don't create a lot of girly things but when I got my first Emerald Faeries stamp, I decided I had to have more!! And now I have the whole collection - thanks Deb. I recently saw a mushroom log basic tutorial on the Paper Crafter's Library and knew this is what I wanted to use for my creation!! It's taken me a few weeks to get all the pieces coloured and put together but I am really happy with the end result!! I'm even happier that my wonderful friend, Angela took some gorgeous photos today in her garden at the foot of a gnome and in her plants which has just made this look even more special!! I also took some more photos in my garden but not sure you really capture all the details.. Sorry there are so many photos buut didn't want you to miss out on anything !!

Isn't it "Fairy Fantastic"!! I used some EK success paper to make the log (which actually took me a long time to make), just randomly cut out the grass then coloured up all the faeries!! I think I used nearly all the Tria's I have..LOL! All the wings have  clear smooch on them, and the faeries hair has flecks of gold spica pen through them. And the flowers have (glitter) Fairy Dust sprinkled on them! I stuck some acetate behind some of the faeries just so that they would stand up a bit better. I have also sprayed all the grass with vanilla shimmer smooch spritz!! Thanks Sam for the suggestion! And for extra effect (not that you can see) I  put some kindyglitz behind the snail to make the effect of a snail trail!! And the last addition was the ladybug which I remembered I've had stuck to my mirror for the last 10 years!!

Now it's time to fly on over to Emily's blog and check out her fairyliscious creation!!

Don't forget to keep a look out for letters on some of the hop stops today and tomorrow that make up a fairy related word then head back to Gill's Blog and enter your name with Inlinkz.

Thanks for flying by - dont forget to check out Gill's Blog again  tomorrow for day 2 and to gather the rest of the hidden letters.

I am entering my faerie garden in the following challenges
* The Emerald Faerie Garden Challenges - Petals
* Divas by Design - Anything but a Card

PCJ Challenge #13 and Summer Fete Blog Hop!!!

It’s our 13th Challenge at PCJ and we’ve decided that 13 is indeed a lucky number. To celebrate, we’re having a summer fete blog hop. It's not summer here in Australia but the sun is shining just for this occasion!!

If you have arrived here from the Paper Crafting Journey Blog then you are in the right place, if not then head back there so you can join in the fun!!
There are heaps of prizes to be won, 13 in total from 13 different sponsors! How fab is that?
The rules are simple and you can do these in any order, as long as they’re all complete – we will be checking! hehe
                           * Enter the challenge – easy theme of Anything Goes – with a direct link to your project
                           * Leave your blog link on the linky widget at each stop
                           * Leave a comment at each stop after the main challenge blog

Sound easy enough?

We have two prizes available to entrants of the challenge
Meljen’s are providing one lucky winner with 4 individual digi stamps of your choice
and
MFT Stamps are providing one lucky winner with a $15 gift certificate to spend in the MFT Store.

My sponsor is the wonderful Deb from The Emerald Faerie Garden!! A fellow Aussie, I jumped at the chance to use one of her faerie images!! They are so cute and you can create so many beautiful projects with them!! And she will be giving one very lucky person the Emerald Faerie stamp that I have used below!! But be warned... once you have this stamp you will want them all!!! LOL!!

As this hop is all about a summer fete I chose flowers for my stall and thought Ally and Beeble would be perfect.

I made a tent card (which my sister has decided she would like to have to put in her daughters room - hope she likes how I finished it! ) I coloured Ally and Beeble in with Tria markers and used some glitter pens to add some sparkle!! Added all the flowers (winnings from Blog Candy), then added all the other embellishments including the shrinky dink butterflies!! Not sure that the photo shows all the sparkle but you know me, always have to have some sort of glimmer and bling!!

Thanks for stopping by. Your next hop on the stop is the very talented Cindy.. If you get lost along the way, head back to the PCJ blog where you'll find the full list of stops.

You have until 12:00BST on 6 July 2011 to complete all three steps above (you can simply enter the challenge without entering the blog hop if you wish). Winners will be announced on Thursday 7 July 2011
Be sure to enter your name in the inlinkz at each hop stop, leave a comment and enter this fortnights challenge of anything goes to be eligible for prizes!!
Happy Hopping!

Just relaxing in the garden...

...well not me personally as it is absolutely freezing here but Tilda with watering can is in her new garden with some of her feathered friends...she also has some faerie friends hiding who she hasn't seen yet! Which brings us to this fortnights challenge over at Paper Crafting Journey - Our Feathered Friends. Sorry this is being posted a bit late but I was hoping to have it done earlier but it's just been one of those days.
What a response we had to last week's Anything Goes challenge - over 400 entries. Thanks to everyone that joined us!
We are being sponsored by Glitterbabe's Digi's and we were given a few images to work with (I used the bird and the sentiment). This card has been in the making for about a week, and I have been wanting to share with you since I finished it. I decided I wanted to make a little garden scene and it took a little while for me to actually work it out in my head of how to create it.. So I eventually went for a stair step card and this is what I came up with...
This is a front view of the card

A Bird's eye view

Close up of Tilda and hidden faerie

Close up garden with hidden faeries

I used Kaszazz cardstock and I just fringed the green to make the grass. I shrunk the gorgeous emerald faerie stamps so that they could be hidden in the grass (that was a task and a half to cut out). I also shrunk the birds so that I could place them in the Penny Black tree. I coloured up the Magnolia House and that's where I stopped for a couple of days!!. I wasn't too sure of what else I was going to do until my new Magnolia's from the rainbow collection arrived. So I stamped out Tilda and the car and reduced them so that they would fit on the card and boy were they the perfect fit!! I then stamped out the flowers from a Stampin'Up  set ( So happy for you) I won awhile ago!! Everything was coloured in with Tria's except for the tree which I chalked and added kindyglitz and rhinestones to! I forgot to write down all the colours I used to colour but if you would really like to know then please feel free to ask and I can let you know!! I then just added the flowers to the front under the sentiment, added crystal effects to all the windows on the car and house and I was done!!! I am so super happy with it and so glad that I am able to finally share it with you!!!
I have decided to enter this card into the following challenges:
* Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Anything Goes
* Claudia and Company - Fancy Folds
* Papertake Weekly - AnythingGoes
* Digi Doodle Shop Challenge - No backing Papers
* Top Tip Tuesday - More than one Fold
* Stampavie and More - More than one Fold
* Digital Tuesday Challenge - In the Garden/Outdoors
* Stamp Something - Use a digi

Well thats it from me for now.. head on over to Paper Crafting Journey to see what the rest of the DT have created and join us with our Feathered Friends Challenge!!

Until Next Time... Enjoy!! xx

Some cards to share!!!

Where does the time go??  I have been busy making things for some upcoming blog hops so I can't share them just yet but I have made other cards recently that I haven't shared yet. As you can see I've also changed the look of my blog!!! Decided I need to freshen it up now that I know a bit more about blogging and the sites that are around! I recently won a customized digital signature and watermark from Raindrop Echo's A giveaway a day in May so I thought it would be nice to make some changes for when I receive that!!
This first card was made for my niece for her 16th Birthday!! I was so happy with my colouring at the time but looking back at it now it's not overly special!! Oh well, I guess I just keep practicing with my colouring!! I'll get there eventually!!
So here is the card I made!
You cant really see but the yellow cardstock is glittery!! I think the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts (they were from a blog candy I won) and the buttons and ribbon are from my stash!! I coloured Tilda and the car in with Tria's ( G278, G557, G555, WG02, NG02, 0225, 0535, 0528, R635, NG09, R555, R665, Y567, O277, O377, V245, C646) The numbers are from Kaszazz and I painted them with Kaisercraft paint!!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
* The Paper Shelter - Celebrate
* Crafts and Me challenges - Stamp Something
* Craft Room challenge - Anything Goes
* Die Cut Dreams - 3 stamps, 3 flowers and a bow
* Ohh La La Creations - Happy Birthday
* Incy Wincy Designs - Tic Tac Toe
* Scrappy frogs - Birthdays
* Sassy Studio Designs - No patterned paper

I made this card for a friend's son over in the UK! I've been a bit slack in getting cards sent this year on time but better late than never I guess!!
I coloured this Penny Black image in awhile ago so I'm not sure what colours I've used but I used Tria's and Copic's. I used Echo Park papers and added some buttons!! This is definitely not my best colouring, in fact his face is a mess (think I used a blender pen to fix an error but forgot to fix it!! I still wanted to share it though!!! Because of the bad colouring I'm not entering this card into any challenges!!

That's it for now but I will be back tomorrow with my DT card for PCJ Challenge #12.

Until Next Time... Enjoy!! xx
