CYP and SALS Collide!!

As you may know I am on both the Seems a Little Sketchy and Craft Your Passion design teams run by the fabulous Jenn. SALS is a fortnighly challenge and CYP weekly and every now and then I have the opportunity to combine them and with me being a bit time poor this week it was a perfect week for me to be able to make one card for both the challenges!!
This week at Craft your Passion we have an inspiration challenge and are sponsored by Some Odd Girl and Seems a Little Sketchy obviously has a sketch and we are sponsored by Bugaboo.
So this is the picture we had for inspiration at CYP...
... so I used the colours of the rainbow as inspiration for my card!! Admittedly it would be an extremely bright rainbow but the colours off the rainbow none the less. :)
Perhaps I'd had a few tequilas when Í took the photo of this card cos it looks awfully crooked..LOL!!
Anyway, I coloured JJ tequila and shoes in with Tria markers and added crystal effects to her martini glass and her glasses!! I used the eyelet border punch for the blue bling cs and added the orange ribbon over that. I cut the image out in an oval bu kept her legs and just fussy cut them!! And to finish off I added the purple buttons, the rhinestones and the sentiment. I just love this image, it was my mum's birthday recently and I made two cards and ended up giving her the one with JJ tequila and shoes cos it just suited her!! LOL! She loved the card too!! I'll have to post it soon and show you!! Maybe one day this week in between working and organising Logan's 6th birthday!!
Well that's enough blabbering fro me.. be sure to head on over to the CYP and SALS blogs to see what the rest of the DT have created!!!
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
* Stampin for the Weekend - Anything Goes
* Penny's Paper Crafty - Ribbons and or buttons
* Perfect Sentiments - Happy Birthday/ Happy Anniversary
* A&T Emerald Faeries - Anything Goes

Wow, the year is just disappearing isn't it!! It's nearly November already!! I am busily getting ready for my son's 6th birthday which is next weekend and am actually a bit ahead with all my Dt cards so all is good with the world..hehehehe.. Not sure how long I can keep that up but I shall do my very best!! Especially as we get closer to Christmas!!
Anyway, it's the 25th of the month (well not here as we have already started the 26th - tehehehe) so time for a new challenge at Elisabeth Bell's World. We are sponsored by 7 Kids College Fund who sell Elisabeth Bell images from Whimsy Stamps and Belles n Whistles for this challenge so I used  an Elisabeth Bell's image from Whimsy Stamps. She is the super cute "Chloe".
Alethea
Our challenge this month is to make something that Glimmers, Shimmers and Shines.. Not sure that the photo captures all of that but I definitely added it all! :) I coloured "Chloe" in with tria markers and cut her out!! I die cut the Summer Border and tied some ribbon and a button to it.. I cut out three squares of cardstock, the yellow being a sparkly cardstock!!. I embossed flowers onto the orange cardstock and went over them with blue kindyglitz!, I added rhinestones to the big flowers and some of the little flowers and then added the die cut clouds and dusted them with shimmer chalk!! I had no plan at all when I first started this but it turned out pretty cute I think!!
Please stop by the EBW challenge blog if you haven't already to see what the talented DT have created!!

Paper Crafting Journey - Ribbon or Twine

It's time for a new Challenge at Paper Crafting Journey. We would love to see your creations using ribbon or twine or both if you so wish!! We are being sponsored by The Paper Shelter this challenge and we were lucky enough to get some images to create with so I used "A Little Bit Grumpy"
My next few cards that I share with you will all be using bold and bright colours!! Awhile ago I spent the weekend with a friend of mine and I stamped out a sheet of Circle Circus stamps from Stampin Up, so I decided to use the colours (Tim Holtz Summer distress inks) from that to create my card!! I coloured "A little Bit Grumpy" in with Tria markers and added Kindyglitz to her wings. The green cardstock is dry embossed with Tim Holtz Retro Circles embossing folder, the blue CS left as is and the pink I wrapped twine around it!!. I added the pink ribbon, then added the rhinestones. To finish off I added kindyglitz to parts of the circles and also some clear droplets to the green circles!!
Not sure the sentiment suits the image but it's all I could think to use..:)
Well that's it from me... head on over to PCJ to check out the rest of the DT creations!!!
I'll be back tomorrow with the winner of  my Blog Candy!!

Add some bling at PCJ!!

Time for a new challenge at Paper Crafting Journey!!. This fortnight we would love to see you add some bling!! Well this was an easy challenge for me as I add bling to just about every card I make!!
Wendy (boss lady :) ) is very kindly offering a $10 gift certificate from Whimsy stamps for this challenge!!!
I had a chance to use one of the thousands of digi's I own as we didn't have specific images to use for this challenge!! So I coloured up Nevaeh from Saturated Canary... I already had this card partly made as I started making it at Paperific!! But I needed the perfect image for the frame and think this one is perfect!! I coloured Nevaeh in with tria markers and then used a clear glitter pen over the top!! The paper is from kaisercraft, as is the frame and the ribbon... To finish the card I added flowers and all the rhinestones!!
Hope you join in with the challenge this fortnight.. head on over to the Paper Crafting Journey for all the details and to see what the rest of the DT created!!!

Link up for Pink!!!

As many of you know, if you're a regular reader of my blog, I lost my Nan this year to Breast Cancer!!! It was the saddest day of my life and I miss her everyday!!! So the Link Up for Pink blog and Linky Party is something I love to be a part of it!!! I have won quite a few things leading up to the Linky Party so I'm hoping to use those soon but the other day I saw the link to some wonderful freebies on the Link up for Pink facebook page, which are actually facebook timeline headers by Touched by a Butterfly. I had the perfect idea for one of them so I printed it off and this is what I made:
I think I am going to frame this when I find the right frame!! There was no colouring involved with this card,  a first for me!!! I embossed the base cardstock then inked over the dots.. I also inked around the edges with the pink ink!! I then picked a photo of Nan which was taken last christmas at our family get together (which Nan always loved organising). I then found a sentiment and added the flowers with the rhinestones!! And not that you can see it but I went over the breast cancer ribbons the bears are holding with a clear glitter pen!!!
I'll be back a few more times with cards for this amazing cause and I hope that you will join in too!! AS well as LUFP I am entering this card into the following challenges:
* Crafty Sentiments - Anything Goes

Hip to be Square at CYP

Sorry I have been a bit MIA. It was my Mum's 60th Birthday party on the weekend and I've spent the past couple of weeks preparing for it so I was busy with all that!! But that is all over (and a fun night was had by all) so I'm back and ready to get ahead with my DT committments - starting tomorrow..LOL! This should have been posted a few hours ago :)
So today at Craft Your Passion our theme is Hip to Be Square and we are sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and Patties Creations!!
We were lucky enough to use Pattie's Creations images so I chose to use Chef Pattieboop..
I coloured the image in with tria markers and twinkling H2O's and added kindyglitz to the oven door. I inked around the edges of the image and added the muffin tray and wooden spoon brads. I cut out 4 squares of the Kaszazz SB paper then just added the ribbon and buttons!!
Head on over to the CYP blog to see what the rest of the design team have created!

Midway post for Paper Crafting Journey!!

We are halfway through our Mythical Creatures Challenge at PCJ and because I'm a bit behind with everything with the kids being on their school holidays, I'm posting now. Just gives you guys a reminder that our challenge is still going..
We were given some images from Digi stamps 4 Joy who is our sponsor this fortnight and this is what I came up with!
Now I've got to be honest and say that this isn't my best card. I really struggled with it but not quite sure why!! So I do apologise!! The image is coloured with Tria's and kindyglitz added to the wings. The paper is from my scraps, then because the paper is so busy, I only added a few embellishments!!
Well that's it, I'm out the door to catch up with a friend!!
Head on over to PCJ and join in on the challenge!! We'd love to see what you create!!

Enjoy the Little Things!!

Hello, it's my turn to post on the Digi Bell's Blog today (seems like forever since my last posting). This wil be super quick as I have my mum's 60th birthday card to make and it's already 11.30pm.. Gosh where has the time gone?? It's amazing how the time disappears when you chat to someone online but it 's great to catch up with friends who live on the other side of the world!! Anyway, this has nothing to do with my card does it...LOL
So today I have made a card using Apple Bake which is of course form the very talented Elisabeth Bell and you can get your very own Apple Bake from Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection.
I kept this very simple cos I wanted to use that fabulous ribbon with the mix master and measuring cup, that I bought at Paperific!! So I started by using the border punch then adding the white strip to the bottom of the card!! I then added the white card to the front of the card, put a strip of red CS, then added the ribbon!! I then just coloured Apple Bake in with tria markers, cut her out, stuck her on some sticky dots, drew the steam bak in cos I had cut that off, then added  the sentiment!! And to finish off the card I added a couple of buttons and the rhinestones!! Am really happy with it!!
I am entering this into the following challenges:
* Deep Ocean Challenge - More than two colours
* Top Tip Tuesday - Good with Food
* Cutie Pie challenge - Use a digi
* Totally stampalicious - Anything Goes
* Penny's Paper Crafty - Die Cuts and Punches
* Fab n Funky - NO Patterned papers

SALS - Challenge 23

Hello, Hello and welcome to another challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy!! This fortnight we are sponsored by Digi Doodles (which I believe closes down for good on the 3rd October). We were kindly given some images to work with and I chose Birdie Birdie.
I wasn't sure what I was going to do with this image but the card came together quite nicely!! I coloured the image first then found this paper which I think really complimented the image and the doilies I have had forever and never seem to use so they were great too!! So I just added some ribbon and twine and added the flowers and rhinestones. The sentiment is from a Stampin Up set.
Head on over to the SALS blog to see the sketch and rest of the DT's creations!!

CYP - Think Pink Challenge!! And LUFP Link up Party!!

I'm out enjoying the day with my boys and a friend so hopefully this posts as scheduled.
It's a new week and time for a new challenge at Craft Your Passion.. This weeks challenge is "Think Pink" in honour of Breast Cancer awareness!! This is a cause very close to my heart as I lost my Nan 7 months ago to Breast Cancer which absolutely devastated me!! So when it comes to being a part of this magnificent cause I am right there!! I know I am only making a card but if it makes one person  do a breast check then I feel like I have done something!! There will be a lot of challenges for this cause this month so join in as many as you can starting with this one!! I'm also making this for the LINK UP FOR PINK Breast Cancer awareness blog which Yolie and Celeste created last year!
Craft your Passion is being sponsored by The Cutting Cafe and they very generously gave us some Breast Cancer awareness images to work with!!
I used the Pink Ribbons background from the Think Pink set and wanted that to be the main feature of the card so I didn't add too much more to the card!! I coloured up the Boobie Love image from Saturated Canary with Tria markers and then added the Girls Rock in Pink which is a sentiment from Tickled Pink stamp This store is now closed but Tickled Pink stamps will soon be available through All that Scraps), then I just die cut the banner and wrote the word FIGHT on it!! Oh and of course added rhinestones.. always need a bit of bling!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
* Link up for Pink - Breast Cancer  Awareness

www.linkupforpink.com/

* A Gem of a Challenge - For the Girls
* Totally Gorjuss - Punches and Dies
