Sketch 49 at Seems a Little Sketchy!

Hopefully this has posted as scheduled as I have taken the kids to the Shark and Ray centre today. :)
It's time for a new challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy and this fortnight we are sponsored by My Grafico and we were lucky enough to have some fun pre-coloured images to play with.

Here is this fortnight sketch

I made my own paper with some of the shapes from the set printing them onto vellum. I then went over the shapes with kindyglitz! I added the buttons and die cut the happy Birthday. I added kindyglitz and crystal effects to the candles on the cake and the balloons! I had fun making this card!
I hope you can join us this fortnight at SALS!

Add a Little Charm at Craft Your Passion!

Kids are on school holidays so we are out and about most days so this has been scheduled so hopefully posts as planned!
It's a new week and a new challenge at Craft Your Passion and this week we would like to see you Add a Charm to your project! We are sponsored by The Robin's Nest this week!!
We got to use our own images this week so I finally got to colour up my favourite Maggie that I have had since April and only just now got to colour!
Isn't this Maggie just the sweetest? I absolutely adore her!! I really wanted her to be the standout on the card so decided not to use any design papers! I coloured Little Tilda in with tria markers and added a bit of kindyglitz to her wings! All the papers were scraps from my scraps stash!  I embossed the white strip, then added ribbon and a charm. I die cut the ovals and attached Little Tilda to it then I attached that to the card with the ribbon so that it is hanging. To finish off I added the pearls.
I hope that you can join us this week at Craft Your Passion. be sure to stop by the CYP blog for more inspiration from the DT!
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
* Magnolia-licious - No Designer paper
* 2 Sisters - Anything Goes
* Sweet Stampin'- Things with Wings

The Digi Bell's September Blog Hop.

Hello and Welcome to The Digi Bell's September blog hop showcasing Elisabeth Bell's newest digi. She is absolutely adorable and reminds me of my childhood and someone very close to my heart and I fell in love with her immediately and I know  you will too! So before I introduce you to our sweet new Elisabeth Bell digi let's get the formalities out of the way. If you have stumbled across this hop and would like to join in then please head to the start at The Digi Bell's blog... If you are already hopping along and you have arrived from Lisa's blog then you are on the right track!
Alrighty then, formalities out of the way let's introduce you to

**Apple Berry**
Isn't she the sweetest?? I think she is! I coloured Apple Berry in with tria markers. You can't really see but I actually printed off the basket twice so that I could 3d it. I wanted the image to stand out so I used plain card stock and just used a embossing for a bit of depth! I die cut the oval, some flowers and a flourish, added a apple button (I couldn't find a red one but I actually quite like the green), the ribbon and the rhinestones!!
Well that is it from me but there is plenty more inspiration so head on over to Lynda's blog and be blow away with her gorgeous creation! If you would like this image right now she is available from Elisabeth Bell's digital collection,
Happy hopping!!

Christmas has arrived early at Polka Doodles!!

Good evening!! It's time for a new challenge at Polka Doodles and this week we would like to see you using more than one fold with your creations! There are a few new rules at Polka Doodles including that you are no longer restricted to entering just 10 challenges and our top winner will now be randomly picked!! So hopefully more of you will join our challenges now that the rules have changed!!
So as well as creating something with more than one fold the DT were challenged to use either the new Angelberry cd Collection or the new Home for Christmas cd collection.
I used elements from the  Angelberry cd Collection because I do love the pastel colours in the collection.

View of  card closed
 I decided I wanted to try something new this week and  saw this  modified tri-shutter card on the Splitcoast Stampers website so thought I'd give it a go! Everything I used on my card ( besides the embellishments) is from the Angelberry cd collection. I printed out the pre-coloured image and the sentiment on white card, I cut it out , then inked around the edges with pink ink. I then added kindyglitz to the wings of the angel and also to all the snow drops on the Christmas tree patterned paper. To finish off the card I added the mini heart cookie cutters and the rhinestones.. So that the card would close properly I tied some plastic ribbon (not sure what it's actually called) and a charm.
The rest of the DT have some gorgeous creations to share with you so be sure to stop over at the Polka Doodles blog for inspiration. Then from there why not stop by the Polka Doodles store and check out all the fabulous cd collections, instant digi downloads and many other fabulous products!!

Shape it Up at Elisabeth Bell's World!

Hello and welcome to a new challenge  at Elisabeth Bell's World. This month our challenge is Shape it Up so we would love to see shaped cards this week. WE have a fabulous prize from Elphine House this month and of course as always there is a wonderful Elisabeth Bell digi prize!
I actually found this theme a bit of a challenge because I have no imagination when it comes to shaped cards!! I need to find more templates perhaps cos I don't have a lot of dies that I could use!! So in saying that, I made an oval shaped gift card and decided to go with a CAS card!
Now I know I haven't used a character image of Elisabeth Bells' but decided to use an accessory stamp that came with a spring kit from Whiff of Joy a couple of years ago!! So I inked around the card, then I coloured in the strawberries with tria markers and stuck them on with foam dots! I then cut two slits to slide the ribbon through (because it wouldn't stay on the card otherwise cos of the shape) and tied the charm on!!
I hope that you can join us this week at Elisabeth Bell's World.

Anything but a Card at Crafty Sentiments (GDT)

Well it is with a heavy heart today as I share with you my final project as a GDT member at Crafty Sentiments!! I have thoroughly enjoyed creating with the oh so adorable Crafty Sentiments images and have felt very honoured to have been able to create with the last two months new releases!! So I would just like to Thank everyone at Crafty Sentiments so much for having me especially  Jan who has put up with my last minute creations and silly questions.. I will of course continue to join in the challenges starting next week.
So this weeks challenge at Crafty Sentiments is Anything but a Card! I had fun making this and my son absolutely loves it!!!

I decided to make a door hanger for my son. I made this over a couple of nights as I had to wait for the paint layers to dry although I did finally use my heat gun cos I got sick of waiting. So I painted the door hanger black then with my not so creative hand writing painted the words on which I got from a pirate translator. :)  I then varnished over the top of that! I coloured the images - Tobey - Arr Captain and Primrose - Sweet Treasures in with tria markers and glued them down then covered them in Crystal effects. I also used crystal effects on the pre-coloured  treasure chest and  pirate flag from Bonbon Belles cd collection from Polka Doodles. (I think it will just protect the images more) And to finish them off I just added the anchor charms, the pirate button and then I inked around the edge of the hanger with white ink! Oh and I almost forgot I printed off a little treasure map and tied it on.
I hope that you can join us at Crafty Sentiments this week!
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
* Sassy Studio designs - Pirate challenge
* Chocolate Coffee and Cards - Anything Goes
* Craftroom Challenge - Use something Wooden
* 4 Krafty Girlz - Anything Goes
* Whimsy Stamps - Masculine
* Party Time Tuesdays - Anything Goes

Day two sneaky peeks at Crafty Sentiments!

Hello and Welcome to day 2 of the sneaky peaks at Crafty Sentiments! Did you like yesterdays new image... the DT col0ured her in so many delightful colours, making her look so different in each creation!!
Today's image I think is more Halloween focussed, so I decided to make a little door hanger!
This is Witches Broom!!

I coloured Witches Broom  in with tria markers and added kindyglitz to the ribbons in her hair and on some of the candy in her cauldron. The image behind  is a paper from Polka Doodles new halloween download bundle. I printed it out twice so that I could cut up one of them to use to layer it for some dimension. I went over the spider web with a black glitter pen to give it some sparkle (although in this picture it looks silver.) I added crystal effects to the bats and the bat sentiment is from Crafty Sentiments!! It fit perfect wit this cute little scene!!
We have one more sneak peek for you tomorrow so be sure to come back then. Don't forget to go to the Crafty Sentiments inspiration blog for more inspiration from the DT!

One for the Boys at Polka Doodles!

It's time for a new challenge at Polka Doodles and it is my turn to do a tutorial so of course I combined the two!! The challenge this week is One for the Boys!! The DT were given a challenge of certain Cd's not to use so I went to the new Bonbon Belles cd collection because the boys on there are fabulous!! So I decided I wanted to make a Magic slider card as I have wanted to make one for ages!! But the problem is making it for a tutorial to share with you probably wasn't the best idea seeing as it was my first time making it as well!! Never the less the mistakes I made along the way, I think helped with the final creation!!

So this is my slider card!! The pre-coloured images are from the Bonbon Belles cd collection, as is the image on the acetate! If you would like to see the MAGIC of this slider card then head on over to the Polka Doodles blog. There you will find my tutorial (one post below the challenge) and the current challenge and all the details of the fabulous Polka doodles prizes!

Letters to Santa!!

Good Evening! It is my turn to post on The Digi Bell's blog and today I have a card using Letters to Santa from Elisabeth Bell's digital collection.
I used a bling card stock base and I really wanted to use this frostyville corner die so decided to keep the card a simple design so that the image would stand out! I coloured the image in with tria markers and added stickles to the snow and snowflakes., I then added some snowflake embellishments and a couple of rhinestones. If you would like this or any other of Elisabeth bell's adorable digi's then head on over to check out her digital collection

I made a card using Billy the romantic!!! I never have enough boy cards so thought  this challenge was the perfect time to make one!
I coloured Billy the Romantic in with tria markers. I used papers from a new paper pack that I bought from a recent craft show from Little yellow Bicycle. I die cut out the oval, then added the stars, buttons and twine with the sentiment. I love the colours I used on this card (which I got from the papers)
I hope that you can join us this week at Crafty Sentiments

Glitter and Gloss at Craft Your Passion!

A new challenge starts today at Craft Your Passion and this week would like you to get out your glitter and gloss!! Yep that's our theme:

The theme is...Glitter & Gloss
You must use glitter and/or gloss of some kind on your projects. As this doesn't always show in photos we'd be grateful if you tell us what you've used ;)

We are sponsored by Inky Impressions this week and we got to play with a couple of Inky Impressions images!
I used Angelica Crafting.
 I decided to make a bookmark and used lots of scraps, and crafty things! I coloured Crafting Angelica in with tria markers. I got my scraps stash out and then just cut, punched and tore and decorated the bookmark! Then I went through my embellishments and added bits and pieces, made up the sentiment, then added kindyglitz to the string of hearts, the diamonds on the paper and the hearts on the card and on her headband and added crystal effects (gloss) to the sentiment and the craft tin!!
I know this is going to be a popular challenge cos who doesn't use a  bit of glitter or gloss on their creations!! I look forward to seeing what you create for Craft Your Passion this week!
