Guest DT at Little Miss Muffett!

How are you all recovering from Xmas? We had a lovely afternoon spent with family that are down from Qld and now the boys and I are home before we head off in the morning on a road trip to NSW... So early night for me!!
Anyway, I am here today to share a card with you that I have made as Guest designer at little Miss Muffet challenges!! I won the tags challenge a couple of weeks ago and was asked if I would like to be a guest designer and of course I said yes!! So chose the Van Family brothers to work with and decided to make a card for my older son that my younger son can give him for his birthda next month!! I probably would have liked to have had more time to create but life has been so crazy in the lead up to christmas so i am happy with this.
The background paper is from Polkadoodles from the See Stars did download bundle. I then coloured the images in with tria markers, stamped the sentiment which were from kaszazz and then added the stars button and twine. Pretty clean and simple buut i think perfect for a boy and I know my son will love it!!
Thanks to the team at LMMS for having me as Guest Designer!!
I'm off to bed now before my big road trip tomorrow...

Fluffy White Snowflakes at EBW!

Merry Christmas everyone.. it is Xmas day- the 25th of Dec which means it's time for our final challenge of the year at Elisabeth Bell's world. We are being sponsored by one of our wonderful DT members, Rose, who is offering the lucky winner a wonderful prize!!. Our challenge this month is Fluffly White Snowflakes and I used Letters to Santa which you can get from Elisabeth bell's digital collection.
I coloured her in with Tria markers and added stickles to the snow on the ground and kindyglitz to her coat fur trim! i kept the card fairly simple, punching an eyelet border, using some christmas carnival kaisercarft scraps, then adding the die cut snowflakes, ribbon, buttons and rhinestones!!.
Well that is it from today, it's been a very long day and I am beat!
Be sure to pop over to the Elisabeth bell's World challenge blog to see the DT creations and what prize Rose is offering!! of course there will also be a digi or two for one lucky challenger also from Elisabeth Bell's digital collection!!

CYP and SALS!

Merry Christmas everyone....as our Xmas day draws to a close many of you are only starting or about to wake up to the festivities of the day!! I am at my mum's house and was lucky enough to to spend Xmas Eve and Day with all my brothers and sisters and their kids and partners. There were what seemed hundreds of presents that took hours to wrap and sort and only 90 mins to unwrap and enjoy!!! So now as we wind down (or nearly fall asleep) I thought I better catch up on some blog posts (cos I ran out of time).
Yesterday saw a new challenge start at CYP and Seems a Little Sketchy. At Seems a little Sketchy we are sponsored by Whimsy stamps and at Craft Your Passion we are sponsored by the Robin's Nest and the challenge is to alter something so we don't want to see any cards this time round!! So I had a box that has been sitting on my desk for ages, so I decided to decorate it with some papers that I had just been given for free. Turned out absolutely perfect!!
This is the top of the box and I followed the Seems a Little Sketchy sketch. The image is  from a Graphic 45 pad I had, so no stamping at all this time!! I used my new let it snowflake die from MFT and put kindyglitz on them all for a bit of sparkle!!
And because the paper was so busy I decided just to add a thin ribbon around the outside.
Well that is it from me.. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!! I'll be back in  few hours with another post!!

The last Digi Bell's Blog Hop for the year with Christmas Bell's!!

Wow, can you believe it's only 3 days till Christmas (probably 4 for most of you). I have finally finished christmas shopping and just have a few gift cards to make and then I'm finished wrapping too!! I'm so glad too cos usually on Christmas Eve I'm still wrapping presents at 2am, then I wake up exhausted Christmas morning!! So it's good to be organised in one aspect of my life.. Still have an untidy house and still have baking to do, oh and a few more DT cards to make and preschedule!! There are still two days left for me to do that so I should be ok...
Anyway, you are not here to listen to my babble, you're here for the final Digi Bell's Blog Hop for 2012!!  So if you have arrived here from Susan's Blog then you are definitely on the right track but if you have stumbled across my blog or you are a regular follower then you may want to start at the Digi Bell's Blog and join in the fun cos there is a prize at the end of the hop!!
So today we have a gorgeous new image designed by Elisabeth Bell and she is now available in her digital collection.. This card is not the one I originally made but long story short, my first one ended up in the recycling bin. But kind of glad it did cos I absolutely love how this one turned out!!!

Please Welcome Christmas Bell's

Isn't she just stunning!! i origianlly had her coloured up in traditional Christmas colours but I really do love these non traditional Christmas colours!! I coloured Christmas Bell's in with Tria markers and as you can see added kindyglitz to the fur trim!! I bought this core'dinations card stock the other day and really wanted to use it so that I could sand it and play around with it!! You probably can't see that I sanded around the edges of the card but I did and also over the embossed dots!! I had no matching twine or ribbon for the colours I used so decided to use raffia instead which I think turned out perfect!! I then die cut some snowflakes and flourishes and layered those, added aome buttons and pearls and finish off I added the Tim Holtz Love Tag!! Well that's it from me for today, I will now send you on to Pam's blog where I'm sure you will be dazzled!! Don't forget if you get lost along the way then head back to the Digi Bell's Blog!! And also 'Christmas Bell's' is available now from Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection if you just have to have her!!
I would love to enter this card into the following challenges:

Anything Goes at Paper Crafting Journey

Can you believe there are only 4 days till Christmas!! I still have so much to do... Oh well.. there is always tomorrow!! LOL!!
Well today is the last challege of the year at Paper Crafting Journey and we leave you with an easy one - Anything Goes!!! We are being sponsored by Rick St Dennis this challenge and we were lucky enough to get to create with one of his images!!!
I chose Cocoa's and Cookie Santa to play with:

I wasn't too sure what to do for this card and it ended up being a pretty clean card but I love the way it turned out!! I coloured the image in with Tria markers and added rock candy stickles to the trim of his jacket and hat. So I just made one half of the card look like  a santa jacket and added some stars around Santa to the other side!! The image is a from a Papertrey Ink.
That's it from me, sorry for another short post but I have presents to wrap tonight!!! I'll be back tomorrow for a fabulous Hop so be sure to come back then!!!
Head on over to the Paper Crafting Journey blog to see what the rest of the DT have created and don't forget we a have DT Call at the moment so why not sign up... We'd love to have you as part of our friendly team!!

Logan's Final Craft Your Passion Kids Post!

Well today is a bit of a bittersweet days as it is Logan's last post for Craft Your Passion  Kids, not just for the year but forever!! Jenn has decided that due to low entry numbers and her life being so busy it was time to call it a day... Logan was a bit sad when I told him this would be the last card he made for his DT but he will be at school next year so less time at home to get cards made so it kind of suits us too!!!
So here is his card:
I actually cannot remember what the theme was supposed to be (so be sure to checkout the CYPK blog to find out) but Logan wanted to use this Polka Doodles image (from the Picnix 2 Collection!!) I have actually been using this collection alot too for all the teachers Christmas gifts as I have run out of time to sit and colour images!!
So  no colouring today for Logan but he chose all his papers and embellishments. The background paper is fromMagnolia and not sure about the mistletoe one, it's from my stash. He added a little bit of red ribbon, then added the presents word and picture rubons. Logan was so pleased with this card that he doesn't want to use it...
So  hope that you will join us for the kids very last challenge at CYPK.
Wishing you and your families all the best for the Festive season!!

A Recipe at Craft Your Passion!! (but not the cooking kind)

Hello, I know another late post!! I am really sorry, I think I mentioned the other day I was falling behind, well that was an understatement!! I have had to wave the white flag and surrender because I just cannot keep up. So after Christmas and a few scheduled posts, I will be offline for a few weeks!! My boys and I are going on a road trip to Culburra beach in NSW to catch up with a friend I haven't seen for about 5 years!! So I am very much looking forward to that!!
Anyway, I'm already late with this post so better get to it! This week at Craft Your Passion we have a recipe challenge for you this week so we would like to see - 3 Different Design Papers, Ribbon or Twine and Something Circle Shaped! We are sponsored by Delicious Doodles this week and I used Steampunk Fairy!
I only added a bit of colour to the wings with a purple Twinkling H20. Left the rest of the image uncooured again to keep inline with the colour of the papers!! I actually created a design paper of my own with a cog stencil I recently purchased, then added the other two cog design papers!!I added some faux stitching around the outside of the card. I added some ribbon down the bottom of the card then added the bow as well! To finish off the card I added the buttons and all the rhinestones!!
Well that's it from me, but go check out what the DT created on the Craft Your Passion blog!!

Birthday at Christmas/ Young Adult at Polka Doodles!

Sorry about this late and super quick post but I have my mum stayiing here and we have been busy catching up and creating calendars (very last minute) that I totally have forgotten to get this post done.. ( I am so disorganised at the moment and not sure if I'll ever catch up!!)
Anyway, here at Polka Doodles this week our challenge is a Birthday at Christmas or a birthday card for a young adult!! Here is what I came up with:

I made a card for a young adult using the Hoot Download Bundle. I didn't make it for anyone in particular when I first started it but as it came together I thought I'd give it to my friend who is my age but I'd like to think we are still young adults!! :) . So the Owl, the sentiment banner, the striped banner and the flowers arre all from the Hoot Download Bundle. I then just added the rhinestones and buttons and to finish off the card added some sparkle.
Sorry again for the short post!! Head on over to the Polka Doodles blog to find out all the details about the challenge and to see the DT creations!!

The Littlest Angel

It's my turn to post over on the Digi Bell's Blog and today I've made a christmas card using non traditional colour. The image I used is this sweet angel image - The Littlest Angel which you can of course get from Elisabeth Bell's digital collection.
I coloured her in with Tria markers and coloured the stars in with glitter pen. I put kindyglitz on the wings and rock candy stickles on the cloud!!I used the eyelet border punch to add some shape to the card, added some ribbon and the stars!! To finish off I added the Papertrey ink sentiment and pearls and rhinestones.
There are always beautiful creations over on the Digi Bell's Blog so if you haven't been there for awhile then why not pop on over to see what the DT create with Elisabeth Bell's gorgeous Digi's .
Before I go just wanted to share with you the newest member of our family - ELFIE!

Yes our Elf on the Shelf arrived today!! The boys were so excited when they saw him sitting in the tree. We read the story together and now they can't wait till they get up in the morning to see where he might be hiding!!
I'm sure he'll get up to lots of Mischief so I will be sure to keep you updated!!

I used a Kenny K christmas image that I was lucky enough to choose (so thank you) - Mrs Claus...
I coloured Mrs Claus in with Tria markers and the fish net stockings I went over with red glitter pen. I added rock Candy Stickles to the cuffs of her boots, dress and hat!! I found various Christmas scraps and used those to follow the sketch and added stitching to the die cut circle and the red strip of CS! i the added the buttons, rhinestones, all the little snowflakes and the ribbon! Oh and then I decided to ink around the dge of the whole card!! Could find the right sentiment for you so left it off till I do!!!

* Speedy Fox and Friends - Red and Green
* Dilly Beans - Traditional Christmas Colours

Christmas Baubles with Crafty Sentiments Designs

Hi everyone, Hope you're enjoying this beautiful sunshine (oops that may just be me that is experiencing the nice weather - LOL) or keeping warm if your in the northern hemisphere!!..I'll stop talking rubbish and just get on with my post!!
A couple of weeks ago my brother asked if I could decorate some ornaments for a friend of his, so me being a person that is unable to say no... took on the task!! Well two weeks later and I've finally finished them!! I originally got some sparkly pink baubles and wrote on them with kindyglitz but wasn't too happy and when I sent a picture to my brother he said they needed more!! Now I am no artist so wasn't sure what to do. So while browsing through all my blogs that I follow I came across Kristy's blog from The Odd Girl and just loved the ornament she had made and decided that was what i was going to do!!
So I found some images that i thought would look cute, got some cotton balls, got my thinking cap on and here are two of the ornaments using Crafty sentiments images

I used Christmas Penguin for this decoration. Coloured him/her in with tria markers and added rock candy stickles to his/her belly!! I put unrolled cotton wool inside the bauble and tried to get a bit of glue in there to stick it down (not sure how effective I was). I also added some glittery embossing powder for a bit of sparkle!! (sorry about the glare, couldn't get a decent picture)
This is the back of the bauble!! I sprayed it with fake snow spray, then realised (after two days) that it may not dry. But I went ahead and wrote the name and year with Kindyglitz and that dried although it may peel off.. Will have to wait and see but the snow has set a bit more so it may be ok!!
I used the snowman freebie from Crafty sentiments designs for this one!! I coloured it in with tria markers and added kindyglitz to the hat and rock candy stickles to the rest of the snowman. I acctually sprayed the fake snow inside the bauble this time but as a result makes the snowman hard to see!!  did actually wipe the inside so it's clearer than it was!! I also added some silver glitter and some clear beads to the bottom of this one!! Am just hoping that it's not too heavy!!
This is the back of the bauble and again I used kindyglitz to write the name and year!!
The girls at Crafty Sentiments have showcased my penguuin bauble on the http://craftysentimentsinspirations.blogspot.co.uk/ so thank you!! I feel very honoured!! Loved making these baubles and I think they turned out fabulous!!
I would like to enter these into the following challenges:

Christmas Projects at Paper Crafting Journey!!

Hello, sorry this is a bit late, have taken on too much at the moment and falling a bit behind!! anyway, I'm here now. For our challenge this fortnight at Paper Crafting Journey we want to see your Christmas Projects and we are being sponsored by Digital Delights.
Every year for the past 4 years I have given the boys kinder teachers something home made (fudge, butterscotch, yoyo's and last year a candle) and this year had no idea what to make. I was going to buy them something but then thought that's not me, so came across the idea of cookie mix in a jar!! I did a search and found heaps of recipes but made my way to one of my favourite foodie blogs Bakerella. So that is what the teachers are getting for Christmas and what my christmas project is!!
I've used normal smarties in this one but for the rest of the teachers I have bought christmas M&M's. I typed up the recipe taken from Bakerella's blog, then I coloured a magnolia stamp up with Tria markers to stick on the front for a bit of decoration!
And that's it really... Added the ribbon for tilda to sit on and the tag is tied on with christmas Twine!!
So far the recipients have loved the idea!!That's it from me, but head on over to the PCJ blog to see what other christmas projects the DT have created!!

I Love You This Much!!

Hello, It's my turn to post on the Digi Bell's Blog and I decided to take a break from Christmas cards (mainly because I had no ink in my printer and only had a couple of non christmas Elisabeth Bell digital images already printed out!! I think next year I am going to use as my of my stamped/printed out images as I can before stamping/printing anymore). So I found this small I love You This Much image by Elisabeth Bell printed out and decided to make a Tag (something I have never made before)! And wow, it turned out better than I expected!!
After doing a class with Tim Holtz earlier in the year and watching countless videos and stalking his blog over the years I thought I might put some of his techniques into practice!! So i pulled out my blending tool and a few distress inkpads and got creating!!! I used Spiced marmalade, Mowed lawn and salty ocean distress inks. I randomly blended them onto my tag, then found some shimmer spritz that I've had and not used for ages , sprayed that onto another piece of cardstock (cos i didn't want big blobs on my tag) and pressed this tag on top of it, so that i got the shimmer but the mess!! I then spritzed the tag with water so the colours could blend together!! I dried the tag with my heat gun, then put it aside and coloured one of my favourite Elisabeth Bell Digital images (which you can get from her Digital collection) - I Love You This Much! I coloured her in with tria markers and added some kindyglitz to the middle of the flowers and the dots on her jeans patch! Before I stuck her on to the tag I stamped a flourish on diagonal corners and the sentiment (which is from a stampendous stamp set). I finished it off with the rhinestones, then this morning I decided to add the shrinky dink butterflies  cos I thought it was missing something!! I then just punched a whole in it and added the ribbon!!
For all things Elisabeth Bell why not head on over to her blog where you can find all her digital images and lots more magical things!! And of course there is always inspiration on the Digi Bell's blog so stop by there as well!!
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
* Crafty Boots - Anything Goes
* Daisy Doodles - Anything Goes
* Totally Stampalicious - Anything but a card
* Live and Love Crafts - Anything but a Card
* Little Miss Muffet - Tags or gifts

Let it Snow at Craft Your Passion!!

Well it is far from snowing here in Australia but elsewhere in the world it is winter time and that fluffy white stuff will soon be falling from the sky if it hasn't already!! So because of the time of year in the Northern hemisphere our theme this week at Craft Your Passion is Let it Snow!! I'm sure you are all doing plent of snow related creations with christmas fast approaching so why not join us!! We have some fabulous sponsors this week - A Day for Daisies and Robyn's Fetish so head head on over to the CYP blog for all the challenge and prize details!!
I made two cards this challenge - one with a Robyn's Fetish image and one with A Day for Daisies image...
I used Paul Penguin from Robyn's Fetish for this card! I printed him out three times and coloured him up with Tria markers!! I then used some Kaszazz papers from my scraps stash for the layers and added some diecut snowflakes and buttons and the sentiment from Papertrey ink... I also added some rock candy stickles around the cuff of the penguin's hats.

This image is Little Winter Fairy from A Day for Daisies!! I thought she was perfect for this challenge with her dropping flowers while snowing!! I coloured her with Tria markers and added kindyglitz to her wings!! All the papers are from the Kaisercraft Christmas Carnival collection! To finish off the card I added ribbon and a couple of die cut snowflakes and added rhinestones to them!! Then added some kindyglitz to all the pink spots on th papers for a bit of extra bling!!
Head on over to the CYP blog and see what all the girls created!!

Sketch time at Polka Doodles!!

It's time for a new challenge at Polkadoodles and this time we got to follow a sketch. I love a sketch because it takes the thinking time out of designing a card!! and this one was no exception! As always I added extra layers but I made sure the sketch was still visible!!
There are some fabulous prizes up for grabs for this challenge so why not join us.
Here is my take on the sketch:
View with the gate closed!!
View with the gate open!!
I had lots of fun making my card this week!! I used papers from the Welcome Home and Heavenly Garden collections from the Picknix first CD and some from CD Picnix 2. The house and the fence and sentiment are also from Welcome Home. I used the already coloured images as I'm loving experimenting with all the digital images!! I added glitter glue around the houses, added some flowers along the fence, a few rhinestones and made some shrinky dink butterflies. I wanted the fence to open so cut some slits in it and threaded the ribbon through. I just love the way it turned out. Oh and I added some crystal effects to the windows for a bit of dimension!!
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
* Crafting for all Seasons - Use Flowers
* Fab n Funky - 3 of something or number 3
* Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
* Party time Tuesdays - Anything Goes
* Tuesday Throwdown - Lots of Layers
* Ooh LaLa Creations -  Seeing Spots and Dots
* Pile it On - Anything But a Christmas card
Be sure to head on over to Polkadoodles to see what the rest of DT created!!

Holiday Edibles at Craft Your Passion!!

Another new week which means another new challenge at Craft Your Passion. This week we are being sponsored by Cedar Chest Designs and Limited Runs and our challenge is Holiday Edibles - so we want to see those holiday goodies....pumpkin pies, candy canes....you get the idea :)
I used Pumpkin Patch Sign from Cedar Chest designs and also used their digi papers from the mini pumpkin set!
I coloured this image in three times and just couldn't get the pumpkins right and still not happy with these one's but I had no patience to try again!! I used tria markers to coour the image and wrote in the sentiment. I kept the card nice and simple just adding  buttons and rope and a couple of rhinestones!!
Well just like the card i'm keeping it simple so why not head on over to the CYP blog and see what the rest of the DT created and what you could win if you join in with our challenge this week!

A new sketch at Seems a Little Sketchy

Sorry for the late posting, has been a crazy day!! But I won't bore you with all that, I'm here now.
For this fortnights challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy we are sponsored by My Graphico and we got to play with a fun Christmas digi set which is what you can win if you join in with this challenge!!

I used Santa and his reindeers (probably should have used some twine or something to pull it all together!)  and positioned them so it looked like they were taking off ready to deliver presents!! All the papers (and the sentiment tag) are from the Kaisercraft Christmas Carnival Collection which I just love - I think cos it's not traditional colours!! The images are coloured in with tria markers and the bell's coloured in with a silver glitter pen. To finish off the card I added some buttons and rhinestones and kindyglitz here and there on the patterned paper!!!
Well I hope you'll join us using the fabulous sketch that you can find on the SALS blog along with the digi images you can win and all the fabulous DT creations!!
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

A different fold at Elisabeth Bell's World

Wow, it's only one month till Christmas!! Can you believe how quickly this year has gone? And im pretty sure things aren't about to slow down now that we are into the silly season!!! I really love christmas, spending time with family and friends, eating all that good food (even though it adds kilos to my waistline) but especailly seeing my kids open their presents on christmas morning!! It just brings pure joy, seeing the looks on their faces as they see what santa has left them!!
My boys have already written up their santa letters with what they would like for christmas and they will be posting them off in two weeks time when we head into the city to meet Santa!!
Anyway, it's time for a new challenge at Elisabeth Bell's World which is A Different Fold and we are being sponsored by Whiff of Joy!! I absolutely love the Elisabeth Bell images you  can get from Whiff of Joy and the santa images are no exception!
I decided to try my hand at a star card that I have seen around the blogging world recently and chose to use Santa reading List (which hasn't been coloured up for awhile)

 My Star card closed
The card open
I coloured Santa Reading List in wth Tria markers and added some Rock Candy stickles to the fur on his hat and coat. I used Green card stock as my base then added the star paper (not sure of the brand) and the cream card stock. I then added the rhinestone (strips) to  each arm of the star!!It looked a bit empty on the cream arms so added the green buttons!! And so that santa sould stand out a bit I stuck him on a green circle tat i cut out and wrapped some twine around it!!
The sentiment inside is from a papertrey ink Christmas set!! I think it turned out pretty good for my first attempt!!
I hope that you will join us this month, I look forward to seeing all your fancy fold cards!! Head on over to the Elisabeth Bell's World challenge blog to see all the details of the challenge!
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Case a DT card at Paper Crafting Journey!!

It's time for another challenge at Paper Crafting Journey and this fortnight we would like you to Case a DT card! We are being sponsored by the wonderfully talented Elisabeth Bell and if you head on over to her blog you can find so many cute images in her digital collection and I know you will want more than one :) We were given a couple of images to work with but recently the fabulously generous Elisabeth Bell gave the Digi Bell's a couple of images from the vault and I really wanted to colour them up and create with them. You would have seen one of them in a post earlier in the week and today I have Teen Village Boy to share with you!! Now unfortunately this image is not currently available to purchase but you never know what the future holds!!
When I saw this image I knew exactly what I wanted to do but unfortunately the card didn't come together as I would have liked!! I obviously flipped the image so I could have them looking like they were  having a snowball fight (so apologies for Elisabeth's name being backwards ) I coloured the images in with Tria markers and added rock candy stickles to the cuffs of their boots and the snowballs. I also added rock candy stickles around the edge of the die cut and on the snowflakes on the sentiment stamp! I also went over the sentiment with kindglitz for a bit of sparkle!! And the background paper is something I found in my stash!!!
So whose card are you going to CASE? Go and check out the Paper Crafting Journey blog to see what the rest of the DT girls have created...
Look forward to stopping by your blogs to see what you have created!

Craft Your Passion Kids - November Challenge!!

Hello, I am posting on behalf of Logan as he is sound asleep in bed! :) It is time for a new challenge at CYPK and the theme for this month is Winter Fun! They are being sponsored by The Paper Shelter this month and Logan chose to use a pre-coloured snowman for his card!!
Logan went through my stash of papers and found a snowman one and the the HoHoHo oe so he cut them out and stuck them onto his card! He cut out the image and stuck that on then added buttons (he has an addiction like I do) :) The flower is an added embellishment that Logan put on when he was taking photos of his card!
Well that's it from me, I have some images to colour for some upcoming challenges. But please stop by the CYPK blog and check out what the rest of the kids have created! I'm sure they would love to read your lovely comments!!
