Up in the Air at Craft Your Passion!

Another new week has started and with it comes a new challenge at Craft Your Passion. This weeks challenge is Up in the Air/ Things that Can Fly. We are sponsored by
The Doodle Garden
and we were lucky enough to get to create with some of their images.
I used Little Beebee.
Isn't Little Beebee the sweetest image! She was so much fun to colour. I decided to go with just a yellow and black theme for this card because I remembered I had these bumble bee stamps from CC Designs stamps that I bought years ago. So I coloured Little Beebee and the bumblebee's in with tria markers and flicked some glitter pen through her hair and wings. I  decided to make the image the star by making stripes with card stock and just adding a few buttons and the sentiment. I hope that you can join us this week at Craft Your Passion. I look forward to seeing all your creations...
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
* Paper Crafting challenges - No Patterned Paper
* Sisterhood of Crafters- Things with Wings
* A Little Bit Crafty - The Birds and the Bees

Lots of Flowers at Elisabeth Bell's World!

This is a pre-scheduled post as it is Anzac day here in Australia so I am watching the footy with a friend then celebrating my birthday.
So it is time for a new challenge at Elisabeth Bell's World and this month we would like to see your creations with Lots of Flowers! AS always there is a fab prize up for grabs so be sure to head on over to the Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge blog for all the details!
I don't seem to get a chance to use anything other than digi images these days so I decided to go through my rubber and acrylic stamps and found Elisabeth Bell's Laura's Yummy Pudding  from Elphine House Australia.
I coloured Laura's Yummy Pudding in with tria markers  and decided to try a new colour combo that I haven't used before but see a lot and like. I die cut out the peony circle and added some acetate between the base card and the purple cardstock. I put the yellow cardstock on the inside of the card. I then added  the ribbon which I think is yellow , then added all the die cut flowers.
We would love to see a lot more people join in our challenges at Elisabeth Bell's World so head on over to the blog and find out the challenge and prize details, then get out your Elisabeth Bell images from any company she creates for and enter.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
* Elphine House Australia - Spring is in the Air
* Bearly Mine - Spring
* Fitztown - Anything Goes

Wow, the weeks are flying by... But as they do it means a new challenge begins. This week at Paper Crafting Journey our challenge is Make an Easel Card. We are sponsored by Rick St Dennis
and we were lucky enough to be able to choose an image to create with.

I chose to use Basket Bunny. I coloured the image in with tria markers and placed it on  foam dots on the oval die cut.I crumpled the blue and green  papers for a bit of texture then added all the embellishments. All the easter eggs are also coloured in with tria markers.  I hope that you will join us this fortnight at Paper Crafting Journey

Sketch 63 at Seems a Little Sketchy!

I was meant to post this last night but fell asleep while watching Revenge so I apologise.
It is time for a new sketch at at Seems a Little Sketchy and we are sponsored by MyGrafico

Here is this fortnights sketch

and here is my card using the sketch which I rotated 90 degrees anti-clockwise.
I had actually originally planned to make a waterfall card but with it being school holidays and easter I just ran out of time. I coloured this image in with tria markers then found this fab paper in my paper stash which was perfect for these images from the MyGrafico Aeroboy set.
I hope that you can join us this fortnight at Seems a  Little Sketchy.

Pretty Pastels at Craft Your Passion!

Happy Easter Everyone.... Hope you all had a safe, sweet break. Kids are back at school tomorrow which I am looking forward to so that I can have a holiday..lol Well at least for a couple of hours..
So it is Monday which means time for a new challenge at Craft Your Passion and our theme this week is Pretty Pastels. We are sponsored by A Day for Daisies and they were wonderful enough to let us choose an image to use.
I decided to do make a sympathy card using these beautiful  angel wings. I coloured them in using tria markers and kindyglitz.  I inked around the edge of the image and mounted it on blue cardstock. I then just added the sentiment and ribbon.
I hope that you can join us this week at Craft Your Passion.

Digi Bell's April Blog Hop!!

Yep, it's that time again where we get to showcase a new Elisabeth Bell digi image with our monthly blog hop at The Digi Bell's. Before I show you what I have created let's get all the formalities out of the way and make sure you are on the right track! So you should have started at The Digi Bell's blog where you would have found the hop list and details of the prize and of course the reveal of the new digi! And if you are now here on my blog and following the hop you would have arrived from Linda's blog and been dazzled by her creation. Ok so with the formalities out of the way let me introduec you to Elisabeth Bell's newest digi (who you may recognise).
           **Dolly's Picnic**

 Isn't she adorable!
And here is my creation:

The design of this card is not what I had originally planned but I had a heap of trouble with my sewing machine (cos I can't sew- lol) so had to make a few changes. I still like how it turned out but would have liked it with the sewing on it. Anyway, I coloured Dolly's Picnic in with tria markers, then die cut it out and framed it. I used papers from my scraps stash then added the brown frame and faux stitching around the edge of the card! I then added the embellishments.
Dolly's Picnic is available now from Elisabeth Bell's Digi collection. Now there is still plenty more inspiration to see on this hop so I am going to send you over to Mary Lou's blog. If you do get lost then head back to The Digi Bell's blog for a full list of the hop line!
Enjoy the rest of the hop! Wishing you all a Happy and Safe Easter...

Easter Basket at The Digi Bell's

It's my turn to post  over on The Digi Bell's Blog and today I have made an Easter Gift Tag using the Easter Basket from Elisabeth Bell's digi collection
I coloured the image in with tria markers and added some kindyglitz in the middle of the flowers! I die cut the shape of the tag using a peony circle. I embossed the base and added kindyglitz to that for some sparkle. I had a look through my embellishment drawer and found these letters and chipboard flower and thought these may work on my tag and they were perfect. I added the ribbon to the top and I think it turned out better than I was expecting! Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to stop by The Digi Bell's blog on Friday (and here) for the Digi Bell's blog hop where we will be sharing some inspiration using the newest addition to Elisabeth Bell's digi collection.

Bunnies, Chicks and Eggs at Craft Your Passion!

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at Craft Your Passion! I have just got back from being away for a few days so this will be a quick post as I have washing  and unpacking to do before a friend arrives tomorrow.
Anyway, this weeks challenge is Bunnies, Chicks and Eggs and we are sponsored by Stitchy Bears Stamps
I made an Easter Gift card with this sweet chick image! I decided to go a bit quirky with this one and colour the chicks a colour other than the normal... Afraid it is not my best colouring as I was getting sick when I made this but it looks ok! I coloured the image using tria markers and added some crystal effects to the mirror and some glitter to the chicks hats and hat box! Then I added the ribbon and button o finish it off! The paper was from my scrap stash! I hope that you can join us this week at Craft Your Passion

For that Special Lady at Paper Crafting Journey!

Hi everyone.. hope you are well wherever you are in the world! It's school holidays here so I am at my Mum's before heading off camping tomorrow. Unfortunately weather is not pleasant but we will still have an awesome time.
So a new challenge has started at Paper Crafting Journey and for the next two weeks we would like to see your creation "For that Special Lady". We are sponsored by The Paper Shelter who have the most adorable images
.
I love that when you get the digi image it also comes with a backing paper and and a coloured version of the image which I always like to create with because it gives me more time to create rather than spending the time colouring.

So I have used the paper and pre-coloured image for this card. I printed it out twice so that I could give the card some dimension. So I cut out parts of the paper which I raised on various sizes of foam tape so that there were different layers. I also cut out the girl and the umbrella  and layered them with foam tape. I then added some kindyglitz cos I felt it needed some sparkle, added a couple of buttons and then stamped the sentiment.
I hope that you can join us this fortnight at Paper Crafting Journey

Sketch 62 at Seems a Little Sketchy!

Time for a new challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy. WE are sponsored by Robyn's Fetish this fortnight
 here is the sketch

I rotated the sketch 90 degrees anti clockwise for my card
I coloured the image in with tria markers. The embossed paper was something I found in my scraps. I added the ribbon and die cut flower and the used a circular crafty sentiments sentiment!, then added the buttons cos that side looked a bit bare!!
I hope that you can join us this fortnight at Seems a Little Sketchy!

No Designer Paper at Craft Your Passion!

Time for a new challenge at Craft Your Passion and this week we want to see your creations with NO designer papers! We have two fabulous sponsors this week

Flourish With A Bling

The DT got to use some images from Zap Pow Designs
I coloured Love Lola in with tria markers. For the background I used a hexagon stencil and inked it with red ink! I then just added the ribbon and the die cut butterflies. That's it, quick card to put together.

Little Rapunzel at The Digi Bell's!

Well it is Sunday evening here, my house is a mess, I'm way behind with my card making but the Bombers thrashed the Blues (Aussie Rules) so I shall sleep well tonight..LOL.
It's my turn to post on The Digi Bell's Blog so I've quickly whipped up this cute card using Little Rapunzel from Elisabeth Bell's digi collection!

This actually looks better in person, I think because of the light I took the photo in. The background is something I stamped out ages ago using some Stampin Up stamps and just came across it while looking for an image to colour. So I cut that to size then coloured Little Rapunzel in with tria markers using the same colours. I then cut out the peony circle to put her on  and made a frame which I coloured with kindyglitz. I added the ribbon and the green spotty button and decided that I didn't want to add anything else so just decided to glitz it up with kindyglitz!
Thanks for stopping by ... if you would like Little rapunzel or any other Elsiabeth Bell digi image then head on over to Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection.
