Farewell to Southern girls Challenge!

Wow, it has been over a year since I lasted posted here. How time flies.
I had the privilege of being asked to make a card for the Southern Girls Challenge farewell post. It was a privilege to be a part of the DT for SGC for the couple of years I was on the team. I have not actually made a card since I last posted so it was good motivation and will hopefully keep me motivated to start again.
So Thank you to Lou and Tracy for asking me to be a part of this sad but special moment. I wish you both all the best in your future adventures.

I decided to colour up Pirate Tilda and decided to use some of my scrap papers. Then added some embellishments that I had in my stash.
Hopefully I will continue to make cards and start posting on a regular basis.
Farewell Southern Girls Challenge!!

Frame it at Southern Girls Challenge!

It is time for a new challenge at Southern Girls Challenge and this fortnight we would like to see some sort of framing on your creation.

We are sponsored by

I did not have any images from the sponsors so I have used an image from Polkadoodles - Urban and Modern Boy. The image is pre-coloured and I cut it out and stuck it on 3D dots for some dimension. I added the die cut arrows, buttons and string.

I hope that you can join us this fortnight at Southern Girls challenge.

Anything Goes at Southern Girls Challenge!

A new year and a new challenge over at Southern Girls Challenge. it's a nice easy one to start off the year... Anything Goes.
We are sponsored by

I put this card together pretty quickly but thanks to The Paper Shelter I used the pre-coloured Glittery and Sparkling and made a sweet card.

I printed out the background and pre-coloured image then duplicated the image, cut it out and stuck it on with foam dots. I then added kindy glitz to various parts of the background and image. Simple but cute card.
I hope that you can join us this fortnight at Southern Girls challenge.

Anything Goes at Southern Girls Challenge!

A new challenge has started at Southern Girls Challenge and it's a nice easy one... Anything Goes.
We are sponsored by

I used Steampunk owl from Lacy Sunshine Stamps.

I had other plans for this card but It just wasn't coming together how I visualised it so I found bits and pieces in my stash and put this together. Not my best card, should have made the owls better or added more. I coloured the owls in with tria markers and twinkling H2O's.
i promise to get my head back in the game next year after a bit of a break and hopefully a few less things at home to worry about.
Head on over to the Southern Girls challenge blog and see what the other DT girls have done...

TAG! You're it! at Southern Girls Challenge!!

Goodevening. I apologise for my blogging hiatus... I have made a couple of cards but forget to post them.. I really am the slackest DT member and I apologise profusely to my SGC DT.

So a new challenge has started at Southern Girls and yes I am posting a few days late. For this fortnights challenge we would like to see you either make a tag or include a tag on your card or project.
We have two sponsors

I created a card using Sticks and Bones Design sheet 1 from Polkadoodles

All the images, tags and sentiments are pre-coloured and all I really added was the raffia on the tag.
These design sheets are great for when you run out of time or if you're texta's are all drying up (which is the case with me)
I hope that you can join us this week at the Southern Girls Challenge

Anything Goes at Southern Girls challenge

It has been rather a long time since I posted here and for that I am truly sorry. I have been studying and working and was feeling swamped so took a couple of months off from making cards... I actually didn't realize how much I missed it till I made this card the other night. Very last minute but I got it done and was very happy with it.
So hopefully I can make these posts a regular thing. I am hoping to start crafting a bit more but will see what happens..
Anyway we are here for the new Southern Girls challenge and this fortnight it' an easy one... Anything Goes. We are sponsored by

I made a tent card and used papers from my paper stash. I am not sure where these papers are from. I used a circle die to cut out the middle to create a window. I added Rory - Life is Grand which was coloured with tria markers. Then I die cut the heart embellishments and added the rhinestones. I left it at that as I didn't think it needed anything else.
I hope that you can join us at Southern Girls challenge this fortnight.

Apologies for the shadow on my card... remembered at midnight to take the photo.
I coloured in Little Flower Fairy with tria markers chameleon pens, copics and twinkling H20's. I diecue the frame and the butterflies ad the leaves. I then added the perfect pearl/ I also did some paper piercing but it was terribly crooked (even with the ruler).
Thanks for stopping by. I hope that you'll join in the challenge this fortnight at Southern Girls challenge

I coloured Rory in with tria markers. I added kindyglitz to the paper and only added a few embellishments as I thought the paper was busy enough...
As I will not be working as much next year I am hoping to be a bit more creative in my card designs next year.. Fingers crossed..lol..
I hope that you can join us this fortnight at Southern Girls Challenge.

It's a Stick Up at Southern Girls Challenge!

Wow, I cannot believe I haven't posted a card for two months... Being on one design team has made me a little lazy in the crafting department... Next year hopefully I will have a little more time to make cards for fun as I will only be working three days a week.
Anyway, it is time for a new challenge at Southern Girls challenge and we would like to see sticky things on your creation.. as long as the back is sticky, it counts.
This fortnight we are sponsored by

2 Cute Ink Digital Stamps

I used a pre-coloured image and background from The Paper Shelter called Halloween Rules. It was a freebie this week. I made my own sticker using Jac paper which I put through my Brother Scan n Cut. Then I added glitter. I just added buttons to finish off the card.
I hope that you can join us this fortnight at Southern Girls Challenge.

Shake your groove thing or just make it wiggle a bit at Southern Girls challenge!

Time for a new challenge at Southern Girls challenge and this fortnight we are sponsored by

Ppinkydolls

.

Our challenge to you is to make a shaker card or a card with a movable object.
This was my first time making a shaker card and i am not sure I am overly happy with my first attempt but it's a start.

I used small princess by Ppinky Dolls. As always I only coloured the image minimally cos i just don't think my colouring would do it justice. I cut the crown out with my brother cut n scan and added the stars and  glitter (which I regretted after I added it). I added the rhinestones around the crown then I added rubons onto the black card stock.
I hope that you can join us this fortnight at SGC.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
* Little Red Wagon - Give us your background
* Jo's Scrap Shack - Always Anything Goes
* PolkaDoodles - Anything Goes
* Crafty sentiments Designs - Anything Goes
* Emerald City Crafts - Always Anything Goes

Add some stamping at Southern Girls Challenge!

Another month gone, another month closer to Christmas... Time is just flying by which brings us to a new challenge at Southern Girls challenge. This fortnight we would like you to "Add some Stamping" to your creations.
We are sponsored by

KC

I loved this challenge as I got to colour one of my many stamps that I have either never coloured up or haven't for a very long time.
So I decided to colour up my favourite Magnolia stamp Tilda with cute skirt. She is just adorable and I love colouring her up.I kept the card pretty simple. I created the background behind Tilda using distress inks, then I used a swirled background stamp which I embossed with embossing powder that I have not used for a very long time. With the scraps left over from the background I punched out some flowers, made the ledge Tilda is sitting on and added the sentiment. I then just added lots of rhinestones.
I hope that you will join us for this fab challenge at Southern Girls Challenge.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
* A Gem of a Challenge - Birthday Wishes
* Polkadoodles - Anything Goes
* Really Reasonable Ribbon - Anything Goes with Ribbon
* The Paper Shelter - Blooming Days
* Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge - Happy Birthday

Tic Tac Toe at Southern Girl's Challenge!

Before I get into the new challenge I just thought I'd let you know why things are so quiet on my blog.... As you may know I am part of a few design teams - The Digi Bell's, Craft Your Passion and Southern Girls Challenge. Well Craft Your Passion just never started back up after the Christmas break. Lisa who was running the blog just disappeared and never returned so i am hoping that she is ok and just decided life was too busy.. Then in the last month we decided that The Digi Bell's would take a break from designing while Elisabeth Bell spent some time creating. So I am only designing for The Southern Girls challenge which I only do once a month so posts at the moment are only that often. I would love to make more cards and get creative again but I have had a few health issues that I am still dealing with so hopefully in the not to distance future I will get creative again.

So now it is time to start our new challenge at Southern Girls challenge. Our theme is Tic Tac Toe

 We are sponsored by
Lacy Sunshine

I used the middle row of the bingo board - Dies, Image, Bling

I used Rory Life is Grand from Lacy Sunshine Stamps. I coloured Rory in with Tria markers and added a rhinestone to the flower on her hat. I used kaisercraft papers and used a border punch for the decorative edges. I then die cut some butterflies out, added the hearts and the rhinestones. I hope that you can join us for this fortnights challenge at Southern Girls Challenge.
