Li'l Lillian!!

It's my day to post on the Digi Bell's Blog!!!  I coloured this sweet image - Li'l Lillian which you can get from Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection, last night and created the rest of the card today!!
I actually had another sketch in my head when I first started this card but somehow went from that to this which I just love... It took me a couple of hours to design but really happy with it in the end!! I do feel like something is missing on the bottom ride hand corner but I think I'll add a sentiment when I go to use the card!! Li'l Lillian was coloured with Tria markers and I've added kindy glitz to the centre of all the flowers on her dress and in her hair! It probably looks like a simple design but I rearranged it so many times and added elements and took some away... I used a couple of Stampin' Up punches do do the corner pieces and the flowers. I've used brads and pearls in the centre of those. I then just added the pearls to the corner and the ribbon to finish it off!!!! I love it.. Hope you do too!!!

Craft your Passion - Anything Goes Challenge

Things have been so crazy around here that I forgot to tell you that I made the DT at Craft Your Passion. So today is my first challenge and it's an easy one - Anything Goes.

We are being sponsored by Doodle Pantry, Sassy Studio Designs and Whoopsi Daisy Digi's.

I got to play with a Whoopsi daisy image and this is what I came up with:

I followed last weeks CYP sketch. I used papers from my scrap stash, used some twine, used some die cut flowers and added rhinestones. The image is coloured with Tria Markers and I added kindy glitz to her ballet shoes!!
I don't usually do CAS cards but I think it looks ok!!!
Sorry about the short post but have to race out the door.. Head on over to the CYP blog to see what the rest of the DT have created!!

Seems a Little Sketchy!!

Time for a new sketch at Seems a Little Sketchy and this fortnight we are being sponsored by Stampin Dragon and the Robin's Nest.....
I had a lot of fun playing with this sketch:

Here is what I came up with:

I coloured the dragon in with tria markers... The papers were from my scrap stash, the card and flowers are rub ons from MME I think as is the sentiment. I then just added the buttons.. Like I said I was really happy with the way it turned out... As you can see I moved the sketch around a bit but all the bits are still there!!!
Head on over to the SALS blog to see what the rest of the girls came up with!!
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
* No Matter Which Challenges - Anything Goes
* Pan Pastel UK - Summer Fun
* Just Some Lines - Beach, Sand and Surf

For Dad!!!

Well it's sunday morning here in Melbourne, the sun is shining and I'm still in my pj's, one child nursing a sore leg on the couch watching the flinstones and the other in my bed, with a temp of 38.8, coughing and runny nose watching the dinosaur train. So i figure while I'm not needed I'll do another post and share a card that I made for a friends Dad!! I have been working on a lot in the past few weeks but it's all DT work so it will start filtering through in the coming weeks and months!! I really enjoyed making this card though cos I had no them or sketch to follow so got to use my imagination (don't get me wrong though I love working with themes and sketches but just nice to to have to every once in awhile!!) and really pleased with the result!!! Hopefully the recipient likes it too!! :)

I decided to make an easel card so that I could fit everything in that I wanted to add to the card!
I coloured  Edwin in a little while ago so the colouring isn't the greatest. He was coloured in with Tria markers!! I cut out the image so that he could sit on the log (also coloured with Tria markers), then had to draw the ripples back in (poorly I  may add).  For the clouds I used chalk and to make the fishing line I found some silver twine which was perfect (well next to having fishing wire which I have none of ) The papers were from my scrap stash ( the blue one is a kaszazz paper) then I added the twine and the buttons. The letters are also from a button pack. I stamped birthday wishes on the tag. Then the inside of the easel card I tried to create water with the Kaszazz paper then added some fish (paper pieced) which are from a Popcorn Bear stamp set!! And too finish off the card I added some crystal effects to make some bubbles in the water. ( you may need to click on the photo to see them!!)
Like I said I was really pleased with the way this turned out, better than I had envisioned!!!!

Something a little different!!

Yes I'm back again, two days in a row...can you believe it? It was my friend  Sam's birthday over a month ago and although I sent her a present I wanted to give her something special because of the person she is and just to let her know how much I appreciate our friendship... So this is what I made:
Not a great photo as I took it inside before Sam left. I painted the chipboard word friends with some kaisercraft paint then once it was dry added crystal effects. I painted the chipboard flower with kaisercraft paint also and once it was dry covered it in kindyglitz and added a button to the centre which just happened to be the perfect mathc to the paint!! I then painted a pink strip across the canvas and once dry added ribbon. To finish it off I added the flower with the button, found the peg and painted that and pegged our photo we had taken at the Tim Holtz class when he was here recently!!!
And to finish it off cos I couldn't help myself I added the three rhinestones!! It turned out like I pictured it before it started and Sam loved it too!!! :)

Anything Goes at Papercrafting Journey!!!

Time for another challenge over at the Paper Crafting Journey!! I am slowly getting back into the swing of things so hopefully I'll be posting more often on my blog!!
First of all I would love to welcome four new members to our DT - Beth, Vicky, Gale and Jaqueline. We hope you enjoy your time here with our little family!!! For todays challenge and for the next six weeks we are running an anything Goes challenge!! We are being sponsored by Mayzy Art for this challenge and she is giving two lucky winners a prize.... So get creating to!!

I was lucky enough to get work with a Mayzy Art image and I chose Sk8r Boi!! It was nice to create a male card for a change as I haven't made one for awhile!!!
I coloured Sk8r Boi in with tria markers and I'm finally happy with my colouring!! The last few images I have coloured have been pretty average!!! And to make the card all I did was use papers from my scraps, made up my own design, then punched out some stars to finish it off!!!
I have to thank my wonderful friend Sam who was up here Tuesday night for giving me feedback while I was making this!! It was great catching up.. :)

Well that's it, nice quick post!!! Head on over to the PCJ blog to see what the rest of the girls have created and to welcome our new DT members!!
