Monochromatic at Elisabeth Bell's World!!

Wow, can you believe it is one month till Christmas.. Where have the last 11 months gone.... I feel like I have wasted my year, nothing to show for it yet been so busy!! Opportunities have been missed but hopefully more will come up next year!
Well it is the 25th November which means it is time for a new challenge at Elisabeth Bell's World! It appears that everyone is busy at the moment as we only had 4 entries last month, so thank you and congrats to you all that entered the challenge!
This month we would like to see your monochromatic creations!.
I used Christmas Light from Whiff of Joy (not sure if she is available anymore cos I couldn't find her on the website) but there are many other wonderful Elisabeth Bell images in stock.
I did a white on white card, dry embossing layers, adding kindyglitz, stars , buttons, pearl and the sentiment that came with the image! I coloured the image in with tria markers.. still have got the colouring of white anywhere near perfect so I shall just keep trying!
I hope that you will join us this month at Elisabeth Bell's World, Polka Doodles are sponsoring us and as always there is an Elisabeth Bell digi up for grabs also!!

Challenge 190 - Thanksgiving/Give Thanks at Craft Your Passion!

Is anyone out there tired at this time of year and feeling overwhelmed or is just me. I have not been feeling great the past day or two and I'm not sure if it's because I had an assignment due today, that I am never home, that Christmas is costing me a fortune, that my son is having a lot of trouble at school or I'm just getting sick for no apparent reason!! Either way I don't have the time to be sick and life must go on!!
Okay whingeing over.. it's time for a new challenge at Craft Your Passion and this week we would like you to create a Thanksgiving or Give Thanks card or project!
 We are sponsored by
We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in Australia so I made a Thank you card!
I used Picking Flowers from the Sugar Kissed Cottage. I duplicated her and flipped one of them over so they were facing each other, then typed the sentiment in between. I coloured the images in with tria markers and distressed around the edge with walnut stain  distress ink. I used an eyelet border punch  and just added the ribbon and the rhinestones!
I hope that you can join us this week at Craft your Passion!

Inspired by a Christmas Carol at Polka Doodles!

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at Polka Doodles!! Our challenge this week was to create something inspired for a Christmas carol.. I decided to decorate a candle and Hark the Herald Angel Sings was the song that inspired the image!!
The challenge for you guys though is Anything Goes with a Christmas theme. So a nice easy one because we are all preparing for Christmas!!

 I have used these pre-coloured images from the Angelberry Christmas CD and added kindyglitz and rhinestones to jazz it up! The sentiment is also from the  Angelberry Christmas CD . What you can't see are the dents in the candle :( As I was putting it on the shelf to photograph I dropped the candle and it had big dents and squashed parts.. I couldn't believe it but thankfully with it being a candle I just got the heat gun out and melted the candle a bit so that I could mould it back as much as I could!
I hope that you can join us this week at Polka Doodles  where there are some fab prizes up for grabs!!!
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
* 4 Crafty Chicks - Anything Goes
* Crimbo Crackers - Anything but a card
* Cute Card Thursday - Anything but a card
* Crafty Sentiment Designs - Christmas

Bling it Up at Paper Crafting Journey!

Hello everyone.. Time for a new challenge at Paper Crafting Journey!! It's a nice easy one for you for our 2nd last challenge of the year! We would like to see you BLING IT UP!
We are sponsored by:

I kept my card CAS (as have all my Christmas cards been this year). I coloured in this cute snowman image in with tria markers. And I tried my hand at sewing (with a sewing machine) for the first time since I was at high school (over 20 years ago). My brother who can sew said I did a pretty good job which was a pretty huge compliment cos he didn't think I could do it. :) I then just added the rhinestones for the bling factor and stamped the sentiment.
Thanks for stopping  by, I hope that you can join us this fortnight at Paper Crafting Journey.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
* Digistamps 4 Joy - Stitching
* Inky Impressions - Hats, scarves and Gloves
* Penny's paper Crafty - Anything Goes

I Love You This Much revisited!!

 It's my turn to share a card over on the Digi Bell's blog but because today has snuck up on me I haven't got a card made, so I thought rather than quickly whip up an average looking card I'd share with you a card when I was first a GDT for The Digi Bell's back in August 2011.
This card was one of the very first cards I made using an Elisabeth Bell digi image and it is still one of my favourite cards.
Here is what I originally wrote about the card:
I kept this card pretty simple as I loved the papers and the image and didn't want to take away from them!! I used "I Love You This Much" (which you can get from Elisabeth Bell's blog HERE ) and coloured her in with my Tria markers then distressed around and over her with walnut stain distress ink. I used Kaszazz SB papers, Stampin'Up eyelet border punch which I then threaded with some Martha Stewart ribbon (which I picked up for a bargain), embossed the SB paper behind then added the rhinestones and butterflies!!
Thanks for stopping by and sorry I had nothing new to share with you today!!

I'm slowly getting Christmas cards made but I am making them CAS this year because I just don't have time to make extravagant one's this year! I coloured the image in with tria markers and also pulled out my twinkling H20's (which I haven't used for ages) I then just inked around the edges of the white cardstock and added the ribbon and buttons!
I hope that you can join us this week!

Sketch 52 at Seems A Little Sketchy!

It's time for a new sketch at Seems a Little Sketchy and we are doing another flashback with sketch 19:

We are sponsored by Whimsy Stamps
who are offering the winner of this challenge a fabulous prize.

Here is my take on the sketch:
I used an image from Fitztown (which I recently won) and coloured her in with tria markers. I added kindyglitz to her wings and flicked some yellow glitter pen to her hair. Papers are from my paper stash, then I added the buttons, ribbon and rhinestones.
I look forward to seeing your take on our sketch.

Add Some Doodling at Craft Your Passion!

Hello, it's time for a new challenge at Craft your Passion and this week we would like to see you add some doodling to your creation. We want to see some kind of hand drawn element on your card/project. This could be faux stitching, a frame around your image/papers or maybe even some Zentangle!! Or anything else you can think of so long as you've drawn it by hand!
We are sponsored by
and we were lucky enough to choose a Doodle Pantry image to play with!!!
I chose to use Super Birdie!

I used the pre-coloured image of Super Birdie and I flicked some glitter pen through the wings (not that you can see it). the papers are also from the Super Birdie set and I punched out the stars from one of the papers to which I added some faux stitching too, then covered them in crystal effects. To finish it off I added the faux stitching down the sides of the card and added kindyglitz to the stars and stripes! The sentiment is also from the Super Birdie set.
I hope that you can join us this week at Craft Your Passion. I look forward to stopping by your blogs to see what you doodle!!
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
* The Doodle Pantry - Anything Digi Goes
* The Squirrel and the Fox - Animal Antics
* Little Claire's - Child's Birthday
* Jo's Scrap Shack - Things with Wings
* Inky Impressions - Dies and Punches

A Christmas Tag at Polka Doodles!

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at Polka Doodles! The DT's challenge this week was to make something with three tags on it but for you guys we would just like to see at least one tag on your creation!!
As always there are some fabulous Polka Doodles prizes up for grabs so head on over to the blog for inspiration and all the prize details.
Here is my creation:

 Looking at the other DT tags mine are a bit plain but decided that I would create my own gift tags for xmas presents this year. I didn't want to make them fancy cos they will only go in the bin. So I created my own tags in publisher and I used images and sentiments from the Home for Christmas CD and I also made a box for them to go in. The template for the box is also from the Home For Christmas CD. I did add some kindyglitz for a bit of sparkle.

I hope you can join us this week at Polka Doodles! I look forward to stopping by your blogs!!

CASE a card at Paper Crafting Journey!!

A new challenge has started at Paper Crafting Journey and this week we have a bit of a challenge for you! (I know it was a challenge for me) We would like you to CASE a card!
COPY AND SHARE EVERYTHING
You need to make a duplicate card of a fellow Crafter.  Seen a card you like lately?  I know you have.  Make the exact same card!  Be sure to give credit to the Crafter who's card you are casing.
We are sponsored by The Paper Shelter this week:

Now my card is definitely not exact because I didn't have any of the supplies but I replicated the idea and as much of the card as I could as far as the design goes and the layout of the card!
So here is the link to the card I CASEd - Kompis-Kort byMari

And here is my attempt at CASEing it
I didn't have any soccer paper so I decided to use an embossing folder with circles and inked over it with white ink! I had this fabulous soccer ball ribbon so I based my colours on that. I coloured the image in with tria markers. I then inked around the image with black soot distress ink. To finish off the card  I added the soccer ball brads a the number 8 which I also inked with white!!
I hope that you can join us this week at Paper Crafting Journey!
I would like to enter thi card into the following challenges:
* Divas by design - use a digi
* Crafty Sentiments - For a guy
* 365 days - men in blue
* Natalie and Amy's challenge - For the Boys

Christmas Bell's!!

Goodevening (actually technically morning here) It's my turn to post over on the Digi Bell's post! Today I have a CAS card to share with you.

I have used Christmas Bell's from Elisabeth Bell's digital collection. I coloured her in with tria markers and added rock candy distress stickles to the fur on her coat. I did some faux stitching around the edge of the card, stuck Christmas Bell's down and added the sentiment which is from Whiff of Joy and is also by Elisabeth Bell. To finish I added the rhinestones.
I really do like the simple look with a bit of sparkle!!
Thanks for stopping by.

More than One Fold at Craft Your Passion!

Hello everyone... time for a new challenge at Craft Your Passion. I have a bright and cheerful card for you today that was whipped up in the wee hours this morning...
We are sponsored by Bunny Zoe's Craft and Bugaboo Stamps.
Our challenge this week is More than One Fold!

I used this sweet Bugaboo image - Make it Snappy - My Sister My Friend
I coloured the image in with tria markers. I then created this modified tri-shutter card! I used papers from a kaisercraft paper pad and inked around the edge of the card with pickled raspberry distress ink. I added the ribbon to finish it off!! I decided not to add a sentiment until I decide who I am giving the card too!! It could possibly have done with a few more embellishments but it was late and I do like the CAS look!
Thanks for stopping by. Please stop by the CYP blog for more inspiration and details of the prizes you could win!
