Happy New Year!!

Can you believe it's only 1 more day till 2014.. This year certainly has flown, even the last week has flown... Christmas came and went in the blink of an eye. My boys and I haven't really done a lot, mainly cos the boys got a pool for Christmas so have spent a lot of time in that (even when it isn't that warm) LOL.
So it's time for a new challenge at Craft your Passion and this week our theme is Something New. For all the challenge details head on over to the CYP blog!

I used this sweet little girl from The Paper Shelter and also the paper that goes with her which I printed out twice so that I could layer it!. I also layered the flower in her hair and wings! I then added the buttons and rhinestones , flowers and the pin which is new (have had it for awhile but never used). I just typed up the sentiment. I love how this turned out, gorgeous card to finish the year with!!
Wishing all my followers a very happy and safe new year and hope that the year ahead is all that you wish for and more...

Last sketch of the year at Seems a Little Sketchy!

My mojo has gone missing since just before Christmas not just for making cards but any blogging or anthing!! But I need to find it real quick cos I have a lot of DT things to make very soon!
Anyway, a new challenge and our final challenge of the year at Seems a Little Sketchy which started last week. It is a three week challenge so that the DT could have an extended break so you still have 2 weeks to enter.
We are sponsored by  Di's Digi Downloads

I used this cute little penguin image that was a voted as a freebie at The Paper Shelter last year. I used the paper that came with the image and the pre-coloured image. I added the sentiment from a Polka Doodles cd and die cut the stars and added some kindyglitz.
I hope that you can join us for the last two weeks of the challenge.

Christmas Birthday at Polka Doodles!

Hello and welcome to the final Polka Doodles challenge for 2013!! Cannot believe we are so close to Christmas. This weeks challenge for us Polka Doodles DT was to make a Christmas birthday card using the Picknix cd collections. If I was to have a birthday in December I would like  it and christmas to be kept separate so I made a normal birthday card!

I made this card in super quick time using papers, sentiment and images from the Picknix Collection 1 cd Rom.  I then added the ribbon and added the kindyglitz to the cupcake to finish it off!! Oh and I did a bit of sewing. I still have a million and one things to organise before Christmas. I still haven't even finished decorating my Christmas tree that is how busy I have been.. so I am away for the next two days to recharge my batteries then I'm back to get ready for the big day.
Be sure to pop by the Polka Doodles blog to see the rest of the DT creations and remember there will still be lots of inspiration over on the blog!!

The Littlest Angel!

Good evening! It's my turn to post on The Digi Bell's Blog again and again I must apologize (for about the 50th time in the past month)... Today's creation is another flashback to 2011. I made a Christmas decoration with this sweet image,Elisabeth Bells "The Littlest Angel" which you can get from here.

I used a chipboard circle as the base of the ornament, which I painted white. I then added the diecut cardstock. I coloured the image in with tria markers and added kindyglitz for sparkle. I then cut off the stars and replaced them with wire and sparkle stars. Then added the twine to hang it up on the tree. I promise once Christmas is over I will be back with all my DT committments on time.

Christmas time at Polka Doodles!

A new challenge has started at Polka Doodles, so I must apologise for my tardiness!! Forgot to schedule my post for Friday then ... well the past three days have been a blur!! There really is a reason this time of year is called the silly season.. lol..
Anyway, the new challenge at Polka Doodles is Anything Goes Christmas.... I am in the process of making teachers presents and this is what I am doing this year!!

I have made 3 different types of fudge this year - baileys, cookies and cream and chocolate and they are all very yummy.. well I did have to taste them to make sure I could give them away! LOL

I wasn't too sure what to present the fudge in, so I quickly made up this little bag!!! I used a border from the Angelberry CD Rom,  and a sentiment and pre-coloured image from the A Home for Christmas CD collection. I then just added the eyelets and ribbon!! Simple but perfect for what I wanted!!
I hope that you will join us this week at Polka Doodles!

Little Friends!

Hello, it's my turn to post over on The Digi Bell's blog so I decided to create a quick little tag using Little Friends which you can get from Elsiabeth Bell's digi collection.
I coloured Little Friends in with tria markers. I cut out the tag then added the MME Lost and Found papers. I used the eyelet border punch at the bottom and threaded some ribbon through it, then I sewed around the edge of the tag. I then just added the flowers and buttons to finish it off!!!

Monochromatic at Elisabeth Bell's World!!

Wow, can you believe it is one month till Christmas.. Where have the last 11 months gone.... I feel like I have wasted my year, nothing to show for it yet been so busy!! Opportunities have been missed but hopefully more will come up next year!
Well it is the 25th November which means it is time for a new challenge at Elisabeth Bell's World! It appears that everyone is busy at the moment as we only had 4 entries last month, so thank you and congrats to you all that entered the challenge!
This month we would like to see your monochromatic creations!.
I used Christmas Light from Whiff of Joy (not sure if she is available anymore cos I couldn't find her on the website) but there are many other wonderful Elisabeth Bell images in stock.
I did a white on white card, dry embossing layers, adding kindyglitz, stars , buttons, pearl and the sentiment that came with the image! I coloured the image in with tria markers.. still have got the colouring of white anywhere near perfect so I shall just keep trying!
I hope that you will join us this month at Elisabeth Bell's World, Polka Doodles are sponsoring us and as always there is an Elisabeth Bell digi up for grabs also!!

Challenge 190 - Thanksgiving/Give Thanks at Craft Your Passion!

Is anyone out there tired at this time of year and feeling overwhelmed or is just me. I have not been feeling great the past day or two and I'm not sure if it's because I had an assignment due today, that I am never home, that Christmas is costing me a fortune, that my son is having a lot of trouble at school or I'm just getting sick for no apparent reason!! Either way I don't have the time to be sick and life must go on!!
Okay whingeing over.. it's time for a new challenge at Craft Your Passion and this week we would like you to create a Thanksgiving or Give Thanks card or project!
 We are sponsored by
We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in Australia so I made a Thank you card!
I used Picking Flowers from the Sugar Kissed Cottage. I duplicated her and flipped one of them over so they were facing each other, then typed the sentiment in between. I coloured the images in with tria markers and distressed around the edge with walnut stain  distress ink. I used an eyelet border punch  and just added the ribbon and the rhinestones!
I hope that you can join us this week at Craft your Passion!

Inspired by a Christmas Carol at Polka Doodles!

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at Polka Doodles!! Our challenge this week was to create something inspired for a Christmas carol.. I decided to decorate a candle and Hark the Herald Angel Sings was the song that inspired the image!!
The challenge for you guys though is Anything Goes with a Christmas theme. So a nice easy one because we are all preparing for Christmas!!

I have used these pre-coloured images from the Angelberry Christmas CD and added kindyglitz and rhinestones to jazz it up! The sentiment is also from the  Angelberry Christmas CD . What you can't see are the dents in the candle :( As I was putting it on the shelf to photograph I dropped the candle and it had big dents and squashed parts.. I couldn't believe it but thankfully with it being a candle I just got the heat gun out and melted the candle a bit so that I could mould it back as much as I could!
I hope that you can join us this week at Polka Doodles  where there are some fab prizes up for grabs!!!
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
* 4 Crafty Chicks - Anything Goes
* Crimbo Crackers - Anything but a card
* Cute Card Thursday - Anything but a card
* Crafty Sentiment Designs - Christmas

Bling it Up at Paper Crafting Journey!

Hello everyone.. Time for a new challenge at Paper Crafting Journey!! It's a nice easy one for you for our 2nd last challenge of the year! We would like to see you BLING IT UP!
We are sponsored by:

I kept my card CAS (as have all my Christmas cards been this year). I coloured in this cute snowman image in with tria markers. And I tried my hand at sewing (with a sewing machine) for the first time since I was at high school (over 20 years ago). My brother who can sew said I did a pretty good job which was a pretty huge compliment cos he didn't think I could do it. :) I then just added the rhinestones for the bling factor and stamped the sentiment.
Thanks for stopping  by, I hope that you can join us this fortnight at Paper Crafting Journey.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
* Digistamps 4 Joy - Stitching
* Inky Impressions - Hats, scarves and Gloves
* Penny's paper Crafty - Anything Goes

I Love You This Much revisited!!

It's my turn to share a card over on the Digi Bell's blog but because today has snuck up on me I haven't got a card made, so I thought rather than quickly whip up an average looking card I'd share with you a card when I was first a GDT for The Digi Bell's back in August 2011.
This card was one of the very first cards I made using an Elisabeth Bell digi image and it is still one of my favourite cards.
Here is what I originally wrote about the card:
I kept this card pretty simple as I loved the papers and the image and didn't want to take away from them!! I used "I Love You This Much" (which you can get from Elisabeth Bell's blog HERE ) and coloured her in with my Tria markers then distressed around and over her with walnut stain distress ink. I used Kaszazz SB papers, Stampin'Up eyelet border punch which I then threaded with some Martha Stewart ribbon (which I picked up for a bargain), embossed the SB paper behind then added the rhinestones and butterflies!!
Thanks for stopping by and sorry I had nothing new to share with you today!!
