Anything but a Square Card at Paper Crafting Journey!

It's time for a new challenge at Paper Crafting Journey and this fortnight our challenge for you is to make anything but a square card!! We are sponsored by Kenny K Downloads and we were lucky enough to create with one of their images!! I used Naughty Nurse!!
I decided to create a little gift bag for this challenge - the template is from Whimsy Stamps. I kept it pretty plain cos I really wanted the image to be the centrepiece!! I coloured Naughty Nurse in with tria markers. I then just added some rhinestones, the twine and button and the rub on sentiment! I thought this would be a cute little gift filled with choccies for someone who is not well...
I would like to enter this  little bag into the following challenges:
* Pollycraft - Anything Goes
* Creative Card Crew - No Designer Paper
* The Crazy Challenge - Anything but a card

Yummy for Your Tummy at Elisabeth Bell's World!!

Wow, where has the last month gone, in fact where have the last 6 months gone! The year is just flying by.
So it's time for a new challenge at Elisabeth Bell's World and the challenge is Yummy for Your Tummy - so anything food related that is an Elisabeth Bell image from any of the wonderful companies Elisabeth designs for including her digital images which you can get from her digital collection!!
This month we are sponsored by Polka Doodles and Nikky is kindly donating 5 Belles n Whistles images as the prize! There is also two Elisabeth Bell digi images up for grabs as always!!
So I used this cute image from Whimsy Stamps - Cinnamon sugar!
I coloured Cinnamon Sugar in with Tria markers. I then used some scraps from my stash to create the design, cutting out a circle in the middle of the card and adding a border to the circle. I then added Cinnamon Sugar sticking her on with foam dots! because the paper is so busy I wasn't sure what else to add so  went through my stamps and found these cupcake images so I stamped and paper pieced those and added some stickles and rhinestones. I then die cut the Happy and stamped the birthday and glitzed up the card by adding kindyglitz on the cupcake paper!!

In the Garden at Craft Your Passion!

It's a new week so time for a new challenge at Craft Your Passion! Our theme this week is "In the Garden"  so use a Garden themed image or you could build a garden scene for your creation. We are sponsored by Heather Ellis and we were lucky enough to create with one of her images!!!
Front on view
I coloured the image in with tria markers! I then cut it out.. I  cut a circle out of the base card then stuck acetate to the front of the card! Then I stuck down the striped paper and added the die cut circle! I then die cut the garden border and the butterflies then  I added the rhinestones. When I had finished the card I felt it needed something behind the girl on the swing so I decided to chalk up the inside of the card and make some clouds! I really liked the way it turned out!!
I hope that you can join us this week at Craft your Passion!

Here is what I created with this adorable image!
I coloured the image in with tria markers and the background of the image with distress inks (my first attempt ). I added glitter to all the fireflies and added crystal effects to the lantern and jars to give them the glass effect! I thought this paper was perfect as it had the word fireflies on it so I wanted to have the words as visible as possible so just added the stars!!

Summer Birthday at Polka Doodles!!!

OMG where has the week gone? The weeks seem to be disappearing a little too quickly for me!! I cannot believe we are nearly half way through the year!! The weather is cooling down here, cold mornings are certainly making it hard to get up in the morning!!
Well it is time for a new challenge at Polka Doodles and this week we would like to see your Summer Birthday creations!! As always there are fab prizes on offer so I  hope that you can join in!!

I found this theme a bit of a challenge - perhaps because it is winter here so the weather is pretty uninspiring! Anyway, I decided to have a look at the Sundae of Seasons Cd and looked in the summer section and this is what I came up with... I duplicated the image so I could give it some depth by putting some of the flowers on foam dots. I just die cut out the image, inked around it and used some washi tape underneath it for a bit of colour. The sentiment is from the All Around and Everywhere CD. I added some dew drops to finish it off!
I hope that you can join us this week. And don't forget there are lots of fabulous digi's to be found at Polka Doodles... head on over and look in Digi World for instant downloads or if you prefer CD Roms then there are plenty of those to choose from too!!

Let's Play Dress Up!!

I had planned to have this post done earlier today but my son tripped over in his classroom this morning and split his head open!! Not too serious but enough for a doctors visit and the rest of the day off school!
So anyway, it's time for a new challenge at Craft your Passion and this week our theme is "Let's Play Dress Up" - You must include an image of a person or an animal dressed up as something else.
We are sponsored by The Stamp Fairy and we got to play with a couple of cute images. I used Lenny Ladybug 3!
I coloured him in with tria markers. His ears are a bit darker than the rest of him cos I coloured them on a different day and forgot what colours I had used on the body!! oops! I used glitter pen on head band and on the dots of his outfit and his little ladybug. I kept the decoration simple just using some scraps of paper and buttons, then added a simple sentiment!!!
I hope that you can join us this week at Craft your Passion!!

Pearls and Swirls at Paper Crafting Journey!!

Time for a new challenge at Paper Crafting Journey and this fortnight our challenge is pearls and swirls - pretty easy one huh? And we are lucky enough to be sponsored by Elisabeth Bell.. She has the most adorable images -you can check out her digital collection here.
I have used the most recent addition to the Elisabeth Bell digital collection - Little Mama - you may have noticed I just love creating with her! I coloured her in with tria markers and added some glaze to her heart on her dress, bracelets, shoes and pearls. The papers are from my paper stash, then I die cut some flourishes (swirls) and added some pearls to those. Then I added some string of pearls to the corners and finished the card off with the flowers!!
I hope that you can join us this fortnight at Paper Crafting Journey!!

Hello all my fine followers, how are you? Hope the weather is warm where you are, it's absolutely freezing here in Melbourne today, perfect weather for crafting!

I coloured Apple Bake in with tria markers, I die cut her out and die cut a bigger shape behind it. I used some sentiment washi tape and rik rak. The finished off the card with some die cut flowers and rhinestones!! I always like leaving my cards uncluttered when it comes to Elisabeth bell images cos I like them to be the focus of the card!!!

I used the dolphin from a set from My Graphico and just duplicated it and made a mirror image of it!

The papers are from my scrap stash and I also embossed some bubbles and inked the paper with distress inks!! I coloured the dolphins in with Tria markers, inked some white ribbon purple and added some dew drops to fnish it off!
Hope that you can join us this fortnight at Seems a Little Sketchy!

Celebrating Father's Day at Craft Your Passion!!

We are just winding down a from a 4 day weekend here as the kids had a curriculum day on Friday and today is the Queen's Birthday Public Holiday!! We've had a home day today, just watching movies and getting the house tidied up and all washing caught up on! House still looks like a bomb went off but I feel like I've achieved something! Will get the house back into some sort of order tomorrow when the boys are back at school!! What have you been up to on your weekend?
So it's time for a new challenge  at Craft Your Passion and this week our challenge is Fathers Day/Masculine. We actually don't celebrate Fathers day till September here in Australia so I never have to think about making a card for this special day at this time of year but hey now I won't have to worry in September!!
We are sponsored by Eureka Stamps and The Robin's Nest this challenge!! I used this sentiment from Eureka stamps:

I got some white card stock and inked it up with some distress inks then put it through the printer to print out the sentiment!! I then added some sparkle and glimmer to it (not that you can really tell). I then just added the stars diecut from the same paper and finished it off with some rhinestones and buttons!! Simple but perfect for my dad for fathers day!!
I hope that you can join us at Craft Your Passion this week! I look forward to stopping by your blogs!!

A Scrappy Birthday!

Before I share my creation today, I just wanted to welcome my new followers. I hope that you like what you see on my blog! Also thanks to all my loyal followers who stop by on a regular basis and leave me comments... it always makes my day!
So it is time for a new challenge at Polka Doodles and this week we want to see you create a birthday card using your scraps - there is a stipulation with this challenge - you can't use any single piece of paper bigger than 2 x 2"!. There are always wonderful prizes up for grabs and Polka Doodles is full of wonderful goodies that you can use for endless amounts of creations!
I absolutely loved this challenge!!! Now I didn't have any Polka Doodle paper scraps because I always print off the size that I need  but I loved creating this card with some of my scraps... (I have a lot) So you know that the papers are scraps, the image is pre-coloured and is Molly from the Fredericka mini CD collection. The flowers and dragonflies are also pre-coloured and are from the Sundae of Seasons CD rom. I punched out some circles for the flowers to sit on so they stood out a bit then distressed around the edges! To finish off the card I added some Dew Drops and a bit of kindyglitz.
I hope that you can join in the challenge this week... Don't forget if you want to create something with these fabulous digi images (that I have used) from Polka Doodles or other digi images in store then you can go to the Digi world where you can download images immediately or you can order the many CD Roms that are in store!
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
* Southern Girls Challenge - Tic Tac Toe (Left side - down)
* Pile it On - Stripes and/or Plaid
* Allsorts - Here Come the Girls

Little Mama...

I was supposed to have this posted a lot earlier than now but I could not get on the internet last night.. It was so frustrating s I didn't know if it was my modem or the server but as it turns out it was my server.. thank goodness!! So I do apologise to my DT.. I really do hate letting people down but sometimes some things are just out of our control!!
So today it's my turn to post on The Digi Bell's Blog so I have used Little Mama which you can get from Elisabeth Bell's digital collection right HERE!! She is the latest addition to the digital collection and I think she is just gorgeous!!
Little Mama is coloured in with Tria markers. I also added some chalk to the heart on her dress but you can't really see that. I also added it around her!! I decided to try a few new things (for me) on this card, the first being that I partially die cut the image and partly cut it - I followed the tutorial over on the Polka Doodles blog. I also used my new Nottingham border die and used in within the paper rather than adding it as a new element!! I then utilised that to decorate around the image. I also added rhinestones for some bling and sparkle. I added the flowers (inked up the white one's purple) and added the pearls ad I recently bought my first pack of washi tape and had this happy birthday one which was just perfect to finish off the card!! Thanks for stopping by today..
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
* Crafting with Dragonflies - One for the Girls
* Inky Impressions - Birthday or anniversary
* The Paper Shelter - Flower Power

* Bearly Mine - Dies and/or Punches

Challenge 165 at Craft your Passion!

Happy Monday to you all.... Mine has been an interesting day to say the least but I won't bore you with the details!!! Thought I'd get organised and post early (well pre-schedule) my post for today!! It's time for a new challenge at Craft your Passion and this week our challenge for you is Haberdashery - so any items that relate to sewing - pins, sewing, needles, thread etc!!!  You get the idea... we are sponsored by Crafty Sentiments this week and I used the image, It's party Time... so I created a birthday card with her!!

I have to apologise for the colouring of the hair - all my brown markers have run out and have still not managed to get refills but hopefully this weekend I will. So the image is coloured with tria markers! All the papers are from a paper pad that I just love but not sure of the name of it!! (so if you do please let me know) I then just added some buttons!!!
I hope that you can join us this week at Craft your Passion!
