Emboss That at Paper Crafting Journey!

It was the boys first day at school today and they both had a wonderful day in their new classes! Can't believe how quick they are growing up. My youngest is now in Grade 1 and oldest in Grade 3.
Thankfully they came out smiling at the end of the day too :)

So it is time for a new challenge at Paper Crafting Journey, (my first for the year) and this fortnight our challenge is Emboss That so you can either use dry or wet embossing or both, totally up to you! Our sponsor this fortnight is
I chose to use rainbow bright so I found an image of Rainbow Brite to copy the colours.
I coloured rainbow Bright in with tria markers and used a glitter pen on the stars and through her hair! I wanted to incorporate a rainbow so how as well as the embossing so decided to ink up the embossing folder, then emboss the paper. i then just added the sentiment and rhinestones! I also added some shimmer across the rainbow but the photo hasn't picked that up.
I hope that you can join us this fortnight at Paper Crafting Journey!

It's a public holiday here in Australia in Lieu of Australia Day which was yesterday so nearly forgot to do this post!
It's time for a new challenge at Craft your Passion and this week we want to see Spots and Stripes on your creations! We are sponsored by
I used this cute little rock dude
I coloured the image in with tria markers while at my Uncles' House so when I got home to make my card I realised I had no papers stripey or spotty to go with the image so I decided to create my own spots and stripes. I then just added the sentiment and the kindyglitz for a bit of sparkle.
I hope that you can join us this week at Craft Your Passion.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
* Southern Girls - It's all New
* A Gem of a Challenge - One for the Boys

Shop till you Drop at Polka Doodles!

Another pre-scheduled post as I am away again visiting family and trying to piece together my family tree, so hopefully this posts as it should.
It is time for a new challenge at Polka Doodles and this weeks theme is Shop till you Drop! The DT were required to again use the Dollie Daydream CD Rom and I decided to make a shaped card using one of the pre-coloured shop images.. Well what a job that was.. wasn't the best cutting out I have ever done but you cannot see the flaws that I can :)
I didn't add a lot to the card because it is fab as is but I did add the pre-coloured Dollie Dream girl and added a shopping bag to her arm. I then added some kindyglitz and crystal effects to the windows to give it a glass look. I also added crystal effects to the la mode sign.
I hope that you will join us this week at Polka Doodles!

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at Craft Your Passion! The challenge this week is Face the Music so a music inspired card! We are sponsored by

Logan age 7
Logan coloured Anime Drummer in with flex markers, copics and glitter pens. He then added all the embellishments and he too was very pleased with what he created!!

The Digi Bell's Blog Hop introducing Elisabeth Bell's "Me Time"!

Hello and welcome to The Digi Bell's first blog hop for 2014. We are all very excited to be sharing with  you a brand new, never seen before Elisabeth Bell digi image. I am the first stop on the hop so you should have come straight from The Digi Bell's Blog

So without further ado let me introduce you to the adorable
Isn't she perfect! I wish that I was able to just sit and read a book for a bit of me time..lol but with two boys that just never happens! I coloured "Me Time" in with tria markers. I based the colours of the image on the background paper and added the pink in. I found the brown paper with the fancy border so decided that looked perfect. I then added the flowers, buttons  and pearls. I decided that it was still missing something so I added the heart banner and used the hearts as well for embellishments.
Well that's it from me, it's time for you to hop on over to Sebrina's blog now. If you get lost along the way then head back to The Digi Bell's blog for a full hop list. You will also find the details of the prizes up for grabs. If you would like this adorable image right now then head on over to Elisabeth bell's digital collection where she is waiting for you. Happy Hopping:)

Anything Goes at Crafty Sentiments!!

Surprise, I am a guest DT member at Crafty Sentiments. Just by pure luck I was chosen to be GDT at the end of last year so today is my first GDT post and I'll be posting once a fortnight for the next three months!! So thank you again to all the DT at Crafty Sentiments for having me again!
Today's challenge is a nice easy one - Anything Goes!. We would love to see you use a Crafty Sentiments image (plus it gives you extra chances to win) but it is not a requirement to enter the challenges! I love the Crafty Sentiments images and I think the boys images are especially perfect for my boys so today's card features one of the boys
I have used Day Dreaming and I have coloured him in with tria markers. I then used some Kaszazz paper, some ribbon and added a bit of crystal effects for some gloss. I didn't want to add too many embellishments as it's a boy card so just used parts of the papers that I had.
I hope that you can join us for this weeks challenge of Anything Goes at Crafty Sentiments.

Sketch 56 at Seems a Little Sketchy!

While you are reading this I will enjoying life on the beach (for a few days) After our extended break we are back with our first challenge of 2014 at Seems a Little Sketchy. We are sponsored by Scribbles Designs.
Here is our sketch for you to follow this week.

Here is my take on the sketch

I kept this CAS due to time restraints as it's school holidays here and not a lot of motivation of an evening. I coloured the image in with tria markers, then just cut out a black piece of cardstock, stamped the birthday sentiment and added a coule of buttons. Once the card was finished I decided it needed something so I inked around the edges of the card with black soot distress ink.
I hope that you can join us this fortnight at Seems a little Sketchy

Cool Colours at Craft Your Passion!

A new week and a new challenge at Craft Your Passion. I'm away down at the beach for a few days so hopefully this posts as scheduled.
Our challenge this week  is Cool Colours at Craft Your Passion. We are sponsored by Delicious Doodles and I was lucky enough to get to create with this leaping dolphins image.
I didn't colour these dolphins in too much, just added a bit of colour t the waves with tria markers then decided to get out my twinkling H20's for a bit of shimmer to the dolphins. I added three different coloured ribbons down the bottom, then added the rhinestones. I left it at that but it looked a bit plain so I decided to die cut the floral vine and kindyglitz... Was just perfect to frame the image!
Look forward to seeing your creations this week at Craft Your Passion...

Dollie Dreams Girl Talk!!

You are going to love todays post because we at Polka Doodles get to share the new Dollie Dreams Girl Talk cd. It is full of everything Girly - shopping, shoes and beauty!! I am definitely not a Girly Girl and do not care much for any of these girly things but the cd is packed full of awesome images, papers, embellishments, sentiments and lots more. As always the thing I love the most about this Polka Doodles cd is all the pre-coloured images and embellishments. It really gives me the chance to put more time into my creations plus I just don't think my colouring does the images any  justice....
Anyway here is my card:

I used this pre-coloured Dollie Daydream image and cut her out. I created the paper using papers and borders  then added the sentiment. I made the flowers from the 'Build a Fleur' section. I then just added some bling to finish it off.
I hope that you can  join us this week and if you love this new cd collection then head on over to the Polka Doodles store as it is available now!!

I hope that you will join us this week at Craft Your passion.

Another Flashback!!! Sorry!

Hi it's my turn to post on the Digi Bell's blog and I'm afraid to say that I've gone back through my blog to find a favourite creation with one of Elisabeth Bell's adorable digi images because it is school holidays here till the end of January so not a lot of time to craft with the kids at home and to be honest am enjoying some time off. So i have gone back to 2012 and found this gorgeous photo  box I decorated using "Click" which you can get from Elisabeth Bell's Digi Collection.
All the details of what I used to create this box can be find on my original post HERE.
New and exciting things happening soon at The Digi Bell's so stay tuned... :)
