So after all that exciting news here is what I have created for this week's challenge:

Well I went all out this week and became a little creative!! I created a door or wall hanger for one of Logan's friends' from school who is having a party this weekend! I went through all my Polka Doodles cd's looking for fairies and accessories to go with them and decided to use the new Bonbon Belles Cd disc 1 and 2. I was initially going to make a card then got a great idea to create a scene on acetate! The only thing not from the Bonbon Belle's cd is the mushrooms  (from Sundae of Seasons cd)  that I have incorporated into the garden! Parts of the garden are raised so there is some dimension, I added kindyglitz for some sparkle, rhinestones for bling, replaced the flower stems with twine as well as the banner string, then added the painted chipboard letters to personalise it. Then I just punched two holes at the top, added the heart eyelets and used some pink and gold ribbon!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
* Cute Card Thursday - Things with Wings
* Pollycraft - For the Kids
* Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
* Anything Goes - In the Garden/Add some Butterflies
* Bearly Mine - Digi Days
* Craft Room - Something New (all images are new)
* Creative Craft - Not a Square
* Party Time Tuesdays - Anything Goes
* WhoopsiDaisy - Use More than One image'

I coloured Skool Days in with tria markers then fussy cut her out and stuck her on some blue and red CS. The papers I used are from Basic Grey Oxford paper pad. I then stapled the papers together, added a couple of paper clips and some other sort of clip that I found in my draw! And finished it off with some buttons and twine!!!

Sizzlin' Summer at Elisabeth Bell's World!

Wow, the year is certainly disappearing fast, as did the last week! When I work, the days blend into one and before you know it a new week has started!!
Anyway, it's time for a new challenge at Elisabeth Bell's World and the challenge this week is Sizzlin Summer - something I am certainly looking forward to! Winter is drawing to a close here and the weather seems to be o the improve!
So for this challenge I decided to use Daisy Sitting in Lily garden from Elphine House! I love sitting in the backyard on a hot summers' day (not too hot) and watching my boys play outside!!! So this image was perfect.
Alethea
I coloured Daisy in with tria markers and inked around the edge of the image with squeezed lemonade distress ink! I found some floral papers from my paper stash and used that as the base then added the layers including the eyelet scalloped border punched strip, the ribbon, the die cut flowers, buttons and rhinestones! I just love the bright colours.
I hope that you can join us this month at Elisabeth Bell's World, there are always some fab prizes up for grabs including some digi's from Elisabeth Bell's digital collection which is home to the most adorable images!

Elisabeth Bell's New Release Blog Hop at The Digi Bell's.

Hello and welcome to this months blog hop at The Digi Bell's. If you have arrived here from Lori's blog then you are on the correct path! If not then head on back to The Digi Bell's blog where you will find a complete hop list. Now that the formality's are out of the way, I can now share with you our newest addition to Elisabeth Bell's digital collection. You may recognise her from her days at Belle's n Whistles but she's back with a brand new name. Please welcome
Sweet Surprises

I created a stair step card to make a little garden scene for Sweet Surprises to sit in! I coloured Sweet Surprises in with Tria markers. On the back step of the card I chalked it with blue and green shimmer chalk to give a sky and grass effect, then I  stamped a tree image and added kindyglitz to it! Then I added the clouds and butterflies. The next step I added a pre-coloured fence from the Sundae of Seasons cd from Polka Doodles, I stuck it on then sat Sweet Surprises in front of it. The front step I die cut the summer border and added some ribbon.
Well that is it from me, it's now time to hop on over to Lynne's blog to see her gorgeous creation. Enjoy the rest of the hop and if you would like Sweet Surprises to add to your Elisabeth Bell collection  then head on over to Elisabeth Bell's Digital collection where she is available right now

Anything Goes at Paper Crafting Journey!

A new challenge has started at Paper Crafting Journey and it's a nice easy one  - Anything Goes. We are sponsored by Just Some Lines  and we were lucky enough to get some images to play with!
I used Emo Alek and Amber Sit on the Ground.
I went for a black and red theme for this card based on the paper! I coloured the image in with tria markers. Cut out some oval  shapes for a frame and added some punched out flowers and rhinestones. I added some buttons and twine, the red ribbon and the metal friends sentiment!
Our challenge is actually running for three weeks just so the DT can have a bit of a break, so plenty of time for you to enter.
Sorry for the late and short post but I am so behind this week as I have worked three days this week which has just thrown me right out of whack!!! Will be back on track next week!

Day Three preview of Lollipop Dreams at Crafty Sentiments!

It's day three of sneaky peaks  of Lollipop Dreams at Crafty Sentiments and today we have the very elegant "Princess Mask".
Isn't she beautiful! I coloured her in with tria markers and I added some glitter to parts of her dress, mask and through her hair! I used a white cs base and inked around the edges with red and black ink. I then used a Kaszazz paper, added some red lace, some fabulous flowers and crystals and pearls, then finished it off with buttons, pearls and rhinestones.
I hope that you have been enjoying the DT creations using the new releases and remember that they will be available tomorrow at the Crafty Sentiments store.

Fairy Merrily!

Goodevening or possibly goodmorning, depending where you are in the world! It's actually 12.45am so I guess it's technically morning!! Anyway, I'll stop babbling, cos I really need to get to bed . It's my turn to post on the Digi Bell's blog so today I have a card using Fairy Merrily from Elisabeth Bell's digital collection.
I decided to make my first circle card, so I cut it out as well as the pink insert. I then die cut some flowers out of the card before sticking the pink card stock on the inside! I then just added some butterflies and the rhinestones. I coloured Fairy Merrily in with tria markers, then added kindyglitz to her wings, to al the butterflies and to the rim of the card! The picture is a bit dull cos I've taken it at night so I do apologise! Be sure to visit the Digi Bell's blog in a few days for the release of a new addition to the digital collection from Elisabeth Bell!! You won't be disappointed!

Colourful at Crafty Sentiments (GDT)

Lots of exciting things happening at Crafty Sentiments this week so be sure to check out the Crafty Sentiments Inspiration blog.
Today sees the beginning of a new challenge at Crafty Sentiments and the challenge is "Colourful" . We want to see your colourful projects! I chose to make a card for a boy using "Roller Skates"!
I coloured "Roller Skates" in with tria markers. I used the colours of the paper for inspiration for his colours. I layered the paper to break it up and to give it a bit of dimension. I then just added some stars, buttons and the sentiment!
Hope you'll go check out the other DT creations on the Crafty Sentiments blog and join in the challenge!

Day Two preview of Lollipop Dreams at Crafty Sentiments!

Another cutie to introduce you to at Crafty Sentiments from the Lollipop Dreams release.

Her name is Lily Fairy:
I loved colouring her in and I really wanted her to stand out so I decided to do an all white card! I coloured Lily Fairy in with tria markers and dusted shimmer chalk over her! I then die cut some shapes and embossed them, die cut the blooming vine added the button and cross stitch cotton and finished off the card with the butterflies, flowers and rhinestones.
Hope you are enjoying everyone's creations with the new images at Crafty Sentiments.

Lollipop Dreams - Crafty Sentiments August release!

I have to say I am very excited to be a part of Crafty Sentiments new release this month as I have had the honour of creating with some of the new images and they are just gorgeous. You will see some of the DT creations over on the Crafty Sentiments Inspiration blog over the next few days in the lead up to the new release.

So today we get to share with you the first of the new images - Off to the Ball!
When I first saw this image I immediately thought of "Maid Marion" so I decided to colour her in using those colours. It wasn't till later on that I read the name of this image!! I thought then that perhaps I was thinking along the wrong lines but thought she could be going to a dress up ball. Well that is my theory and I'm sticking to it...LOL.
I coloured  "Off to the Ball" in with tria markers and used a glitter pen to flick through some sparkle in her hair and jewels. I then partially cut her out with a die, which I then inked with squeezed lemonade distress ink.I used paper from the Basic Grey - kneehighs paper pad, then die cut some flourishes and stuck them down I wasn't sure what else to add, so I went through my embellishments drawer and found these fabulous white flowers which I never know how to use them and decided to cut them in half. I then just punched out some circles and cut them in half for the middle of the flower and added kindyglitz to them! And to finish off the card I randomly stuck pearls in all the gaps!!
I hope you like it... For more inspiration head on over to the Crafty Sentiments Inspirational Blog.

Sketch 46 at Seems a Little Sketchy!

This is my second post for today that has been pre-scheduled so hopefully it posts without a hitch!
it's time for a new sketch at Seems a Little Sketchy and we have the fabulous Squigglefly sponsoring us! WE had some cute images to use for this challenge but I decided to make a sympathy card with the rose! Here is the sketch:
And here is my card:

I flipped the sketch too fit my image. I kept this to a simple design because I didn't think it needed to be busy! I coloued I the rose with a black shimmer chalk just to give it a bit of colour, I then went over the rose with  crystal effects. I actually cut the rose out, then layered it with foam dots back into the paper  I had cut it from. I used the eyelet border punch, then threaded black and white twine through it! I used rik rak ribbon then just added the corners, rhinestones and the sentiment.
I hope you'll join us at Seems A Little Sketchy this week!

Summer Flowers at Craft Your Passion!

It's been a busy and cold weekend here for me and today when this post goes live (hopefully) I'll be at work so I'm having to be a bit organised!
This weeks challenge at Craft Your Passion is Summer Flowers. We are sponsored by Digital Paper Crafts this week and we were lucky enough to create with some of their images! I used Ava Girl!

I coloured Ava Girl in with Tria markers and cut her out! I used papers from a kaisercraft paperpad (I love the bright colours) I die cut a peony circle  then made a border for it, then stuck ava girl on foam dots onto that! I die cut the banner added the ribbon and flowers! I finished it off by adding the pearls which are from Inky Impressions and the sentiment from Make-It-Crafty.!
I hope you will join us this week at Craft Your Passion, I am sure we will see a lot of entries for this challenge!

Have a Heart at Polka Doodles

OMG I am so sorry for my tardiness!! I have been so organised getting my creations posted to my DT blogs in plenty of time but I forgot to write up my post for this Polka Doodles challenge! So I do sincerely apologise!!!
So this weeks challenge at Polka Doodles is Have a Heart! The DT were also challenged to use one of the  "DigiWorld Downloads" to help create our projects!
I used the Love Birds kit and decided to give the bird cage a go using the template and tutorial.

I printed out two full A4 pages of this paper from the Love Birds kit then printed the template on the back!! I did change this bird cage slightly  only because I didn't want to print out another whole page for a couple of bars! I fussy cut the love birds (which was a task when it came to the tail ) and stuck them together. I realised afterwards that the hearts on them were two different colours. I added a bit of kindyglitz to the hearts! I then added the twine to tie the birds in the cage and there is a brad at the top to hold the cage together. To finish off I just added a couple of heart embellishments (which you can see in the top picture)
You can get this template from the Love Birds kit in the  "DigiWorld Downloads" section in the Polka Doodles store. This and so many other kits are available for instant download so go check them out!!

Wow, the weeks seem to be flying by! A  new challenge starts today at Crafty Sentiments and this week we would like to see you use your Punches/Dies on your creation! As always there is a fab prize up for grabs so why not join us!
I used the gorgeous 'Let's Play Music" image from Crafty Sentiments.
I decided to go with a monochrome look for this card because of the papers I was using!! I coloured "Let's Play Music" in with tria  markers. The music paper I used was from scraps stash, I die cut some music notes out, added some twine, die cut the hanging stars, then added the ticket, buttons and pearls! I hope that you can join us this week at Crafty Sentiments!

Use Twine at Craft Your Passion!

Hello and welcome to a new week and a new challenge at Craft Your Passion. This weeks challenge is to use twine on your creations. Now it seems like an easy enough challenge but how about challenge yourself to use twine other than just tying it through buttons or around your card!! This week we are sponsored by  Sweet Stamps who have some super cute images!!!
We didn't have specific images to use this week so I decided to use this sweet Pollycraft image that I already had coloured up!! Wasn't too sure how I was going to incorporate the twine so went through my Pollycraft images and found this ice cream cart that went with the girl/boy image.
Both images were colour with tria markers!! I added the twine to the  roof of the ice cream cart, the wheel and the sign on the front! I also added some crystal effects to the wheel and the ice cream sign on the front of the cart!. For the background I used some cloud paper that I had in my stash and some ribbon  (as grass), then added a yellow button (as the sun) and the two orange buttons (just because there was a bit of space :)
Look forward to seeing your creativity with twine at Craft your Passion!!
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
* Pollycraft - Fun in the Sun
* Craft a Scene - In the Park
* Pile it On - Outdoors
* One Stop Craft - Pastel Colours
* Send a Smile For Kids - Anything Goes for Kids

Vintage/ Distress at PCJ!

Time for a new challenge at Paper Crafting Journey and this fortnight we would like to see your vintage/distressing creations!!! We are sponsored by The Paper Shelter this fortnight and I used a pre-coloured image - "Give Me a Kiss"!
As I said, I used a pre-coloured image "Give Me a Kiss" and also used the paper that came with the image. Because of the beautiful paper I decided not to add too much to it, so I distressed the edge of the base card with  a distressing tool. I then just added the ribbon and buttons and then added kindyglitz to parts of the paper for a bit of bling and also added crystal effects to the ribbon on the paper!!
I hope that you can join us this week at PCJ!

Animals at Crafty Sentiments (GDT)

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at Crafty Sentiments!! This week we would like to see your animals on your creation! I used Benson Bear - Birthdays from Crafty Sentiments.
I chose my papers first for a change from the Simple Stories Happy Days Paper Pad, then coloured in Benson Bear with colours to match the paper! I started following a sketch but then went off on my own creative tangent and this is what I came up with! I love fussy cutting my images out but the balloon strings were a bit tricky so I cut them off and replaced them with twine. I added twine around the card too and added some buttons and stars .
I hope that you can join us this week at Crafty Sentiments!

Little Rapunzel!

It's my turn to post on The Digi Bell's blog and this is a very last minute made card. But I love it!! I have used "Little Rapunzel" from Elisabeth Bell's digital collection.

I coloured Little Rapunzel in with tria markers. I used white as my base cs and inked around the edge with pink and a walnut stain distress ink! I then used paper from Basic Grey's Kneehigh paper pad (which is what I based the colour of the image on!)  I added some raffia, die cut out some flowers and a Blooming vine from Kraft cs, added some rhinestones and button and finished off adding the sentiment!
If you would like this or any other of Elisabeth Bell's adorable digi images then head over and check our her digital collection.
          Thanks for stopping by!

Seems a Little Sketchy - Sketch 45

Time for a new challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy and this fortnight we are sponsored by Delicious Doodles.
This is the sketch we followed this time around!
And here is my take on it!
I kept this card very CAS! I printed the Delicious Doodles image out on kraft paper and inked around the image with aged mahogany distress ink to match the colour of the image (which I got by mistake cos my ink was running out in my printer but I loved it). I then used a mahogany card stock as my base, found these fab papers from my stash, then just cut out the flag (not sure what you call it) and added some buttons!
I hope that you can join us this week at SALS.
