DB post - Li'l Lillian

OMG, just realised I am three days late with this post!! I am so sorry.. huge apologies to my DT!!
I have lost my motivation a bit to make cards so have spent quite a few nights on the couch staring blankly at the telly!! But I have DT committments to fulfill so have to get myself motivated!!! Not an easy task... but thanks to feline playful and all the wonderful challenges I like to join in with I was able to create this gorgeous card for today's Digi Bell's Post.

I used Li'l Lillian which you can get from Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection and coloured her up with Tria markers!! The papers are from my scrap stash and I followed the 4 Crafty Chicks sketch (from last week). And for the embellishments I used some ribbon, punched out flowers and die cut flowers and butterflies, added some rhinestones and pearls and then added the chipboard number 7 painted red and kindyglitz added!!!
I have only added the number 7 with  mounting foam just in case the girl I use it for is not 7..LOL!!
Don't forget to stop by the Digi Bell's blog each day for more inspiration from the DT and be sure to stop by the Elisabeth Bell's World challenge blog and join in our current challenge!!!
I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Now I have to make  a confession about my card!! I came up with this fabulous design and after finishing it, realized I hadn't done any embossing!!! :/ So instead of remaking the card I just added the corner piece and butterflies which I embossed!! phew..lucky I checked my DT blog...LOL!
Anyway, here is my card!!

I used Faye from Cardmad fairy and coloured her in with Tria markers. The papers are from my scrap stash but i do believe they are Kaisercraft papers.  I added some twine, the butterflies, corner piece and rhinestones....
I just noticed a rhinestone is missing  on one of the butterflies.. Oops, wonder where that went!! LOL!!

Time for another Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge!!

I know I keep saying this but the months sure are flying by!!!! Well it is time for a new challenge at Elisabeth Bell's world but before I tell you all about it, wow did we have gorgeous entires for our last months challenge create a Summer Scene!!! Thank you all for sharing your gorgeous creations and inspiring me!!! I do love hopping around to your blogs and seeing the beautiful creations!!
Our challenge this month is or you to make a Christmas card without using a Christmas Image!!
I actually found this a little challenging!! I knew which image I wanted to use but just couldn't seem to get my card to a place where I really loved it!!
 Our sponsor this month is
Theresa of Crafts and Me Stamps is offering £10 to spend on EB stamps in her online store.
And as always
one  winner will also get their choice of 2 digis from Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection

For my card I used "Fairy Play" which I purchased from Elphine House but I believe it was originally from Belle's n Whistles which is sadly closing down but you can still grab some pretty good bargains!!
I coloured  "Fairy Play" in with tria markers  and lots of glitter!!!":) I inked around the edges of the snowflakes and white cardstock with various inks, I think the green was Tim Holtz summer collection distress ink, the papers are from my scraps, the pearl strands are from Purple Pumpkin and i then added all the rhinestones!
Really not my greatest creation so I apologise!!
Well it is 1.30am here and of course I have left it to the last minute to post this so I am off to bed!! But please head on over to the Elisabeth Bell's World challenge blog to check out the inspiration the rest of the DT have in store for you!!
I'll be back in a few days with another post or two!!

But for now let's just worry about the next chalenge we have for you at Seems a Little Sketchy!! This fortnights challenge is sponsored by My Grafico and we were lucky enough to be able to use the Woodland Animals images!!

I had this cute forest animals paper which I thought was perfect for this challenge but I didn't want to cover it so for one of the layers I used acetate. I also had that tree paper so thought it was also perfect and so that is where my owls are perched.. I coloured them with tria markers and I also coloured the  echidna's with tria markers!! I used the twine and slightly slanted it so it didn't cover the bears headn then added the rhinestones on the tree!! I then just added the buttons with some cotton cos it looked a little bear in that corner!!!
I was really happy with how this turned out!!

Welcome and Thank you!!

It's been awhile since I devoted a post to my followers and thank people for blog candy's that I have won. So while the temp is sitting at 8 degrees here in Sunbury (and snowing 20 mins up the road) i thought it was the perfect time..
So first of all a very warm welcome to my new followers.. I hope that you enjoy reading my blog and looking at my creations!!! Hopefully you will find some inspiration or join in challenges from the DT that I am part of!!! I appreciate you leaving comments, something I'm not great at myself as I follow so many blogs....
It's coming up to my 2nd blogaversary next month so there will be candy on offer soon.. so watch this space!!!
I would also like to thank a few people who have been so generous to offer candy and lucky me has been the winner!!! Now I may have forgotten a couple of people so please forgive me if I have ( I am just very forgetful) :)
I thought I'd share some pictures of what I have won:
I won this fabulous pack of goodies from an Aussie company Purple Pumpkin!! They recently celebrated their 2nd birthday and had four surprise packs on offer for blog candy!! My son has actually claimed this as his because it's a boys pack... there are lot so types of embelleishments, buttons, playing cards, crocheted flowers and doilies, felt shapes, ticckets, ribbon and a few other bits and pieces!! So thank you to the girls at  PURPLE PUMPKIN!!!

Barbara from U Inspire Me held a candy to celebrate reaching 200 followers.. It was a surprise candy so I had no idea what I had won but loved what I received. A stamp set from CTMH which was kindly donated by Barbara's daughter, some crocheted flowers and butterflies, some buttons, ribbon and some little flower stickers!! All my favourite embellishments!!! Thanks BARBARA!!

Last month Jak Heath held 7 days of candy to celebrate having 2 million visitors to her blog.. I only joined in on the very last day and was lucky enough to win a $25 voucher from the Ribbon carousel!! I was so excited to go and choose my own products, so I got a few different ribbons, Tim Holtz summer edition distress inks and some wooden buttons!! So thank you to JAK for running the week long candy and congrats on all those visitors. And thank you to The Ribbon Carousel for the voucher..

I've also won a challenge and another candy this week but will do those thank you's once I've received my prizes and I can the people properly!!!

Gone Buggy at Craft Your Passion!!

After a morning of doctors, nurses and radiologists for my son, he's now at school and I thought I would get my post done on time this week for CYP...
Our challenge this week is gone buggy so we'd love to see all your creations with bugs on it!! We are being sponsored this week by Bugaboo stamps and I chose to use Girl Ladybug!
I made my own design paper by stamping ladybugs on white cardstock and adding red glitter pen to the middle of all the flowers on them.. Once the card was finished I then added the little red rhinestones!! I coloured ladybug girl in with Tria markers then coloured in the dots on her dress with black glitter pen as well as her antenna's. I then added crystal effects to them so that they stood out a bit more.. I coloured her wings in with Kindyglitz. I then added some twine and some die cut flourishes with the crocheted flower with a button!!
Head on over to the CYP blog to see the other buggy creations from the DT!!

Li'l Lillian!!

It's my day to post on the Digi Bell's Blog!!!  I coloured this sweet image - Li'l Lillian which you can get from Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection, last night and created the rest of the card today!!
I actually had another sketch in my head when I first started this card but somehow went from that to this which I just love... It took me a couple of hours to design but really happy with it in the end!! I do feel like something is missing on the bottom ride hand corner but I think I'll add a sentiment when I go to use the card!! Li'l Lillian was coloured with Tria markers and I've added kindy glitz to the centre of all the flowers on her dress and in her hair! It probably looks like a simple design but I rearranged it so many times and added elements and took some away... I used a couple of Stampin' Up punches do do the corner pieces and the flowers. I've used brads and pearls in the centre of those. I then just added the pearls to the corner and the ribbon to finish it off!!!! I love it.. Hope you do too!!!
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
* Papertake weekly - Anything Goes
* Love to Create - Punches and Dies
* Dream Valley - Die Cuts and Punches
* Crafts and Me - Use a Digi
* Creative Inspirations - Anything Goes

Craft your Passion - Anything Goes Challenge

Things have been so crazy around here that I forgot to tell you that I made the DT at Craft Your Passion. So today is my first challenge and it's an easy one - Anything Goes.

We are being sponsored by Doodle Pantry, Sassy Studio Designs and Whoopsi Daisy Digi's.

I got to play with a Whoopsi daisy image and this is what I came up with:

I followed last weeks CYP sketch. I used papers from my scrap stash, used some twine, used some die cut flowers and added rhinestones. The image is coloured with Tria Markers and I added kindy glitz to her ballet shoes!!
I don't usually do CAS cards but I think it looks ok!!!
Sorry about the short post but have to race out the door.. Head on over to the CYP blog to see what the rest of the DT have created!!

Seems a Little Sketchy!!

Time for a new sketch at Seems a Little Sketchy and this fortnight we are being sponsored by Stampin Dragon and the Robin's Nest.....
I had a lot of fun playing with this sketch:

Here is what I came up with:

I coloured the dragon in with tria markers... The papers were from my scrap stash, the card and flowers are rub ons from MME I think as is the sentiment. I then just added the buttons.. Like I said I was really happy with the way it turned out... As you can see I moved the sketch around a bit but all the bits are still there!!!
Head on over to the SALS blog to see what the rest of the girls came up with!!
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
* No Matter Which Challenges - Anything Goes
* Pan Pastel UK - Summer Fun
* Just Some Lines - Beach, Sand and Surf
* Whimsy Stamps - Summer Fun

For Dad!!!

Well it's sunday morning here in Melbourne, the sun is shining and I'm still in my pj's, one child nursing a sore leg on the couch watching the flinstones and the other in my bed, with a temp of 38.8, coughing and runny nose watching the dinosaur train. So i figure while I'm not needed I'll do another post and share a card that I made for a friends Dad!! I have been working on a lot in the past few weeks but it's all DT work so it will start filtering through in the coming weeks and months!! I really enjoyed making this card though cos I had no them or sketch to follow so got to use my imagination (don't get me wrong though I love working with themes and sketches but just nice to to have to every once in awhile!!) and really pleased with the result!!! Hopefully the recipient likes it too!! :)

I decided to make an easel card so that I could fit everything in that I wanted to add to the card!
I coloured  Edwin in a little while ago so the colouring isn't the greatest. He was coloured in with Tria markers!! I cut out the image so that he could sit on the log (also coloured with Tria markers), then had to draw the ripples back in (poorly I  may add).  For the clouds I used chalk and to make the fishing line I found some silver twine which was perfect (well next to having fishing wire which I have none of ) The papers were from my scrap stash ( the blue one is a kaszazz paper) then I added the twine and the buttons. The letters are also from a button pack. I stamped birthday wishes on the tag. Then the inside of the easel card I tried to create water with the Kaszazz paper then added some fish (paper pieced) which are from a Popcorn Bear stamp set!! And too finish off the card I added some crystal effects to make some bubbles in the water. ( you may need to click on the photo to see them!!)
Like I said I was really pleased with the way this turned out, better than I had envisioned!!!!
I am entering this into the following challenges:

* Crafting for all Seasons - Splash Me

Something a little different!!

Yes I'm back again, two days in a row...can you believe it? It was my friend  Sam's birthday over a month ago and although I sent her a present I wanted to give her something special because of the person she is and just to let her know how much I appreciate our friendship... So this is what I made:
Not a great photo as I took it inside before Sam left. I painted the chipboard word friends with some kaisercraft paint then once it was dry added crystal effects. I painted the chipboard flower with kaisercraft paint also and once it was dry covered it in kindyglitz and added a button to the centre which just happened to be the perfect mathc to the paint!! I then painted a pink strip across the canvas and once dry added ribbon. To finish it off I added the flower with the button, found the peg and painted that and pegged our photo we had taken at the Tim Holtz class when he was here recently!!!
And to finish it off cos I couldn't help myself I added the three rhinestones!! It turned out like I pictured it before it started and Sam loved it too!!! :)

I am entering this into the following challenges:
* Fab n Funky - Anything but a Card
* Dutch Dare Card Challenges - Anything but a Card
* Divas by Design - Flowers
* Ruby's Rainbow - Anything but a Card

First of all I would love to welcome four new members to our DT - Beth, Vicky, Gale and Jaqueline. We hope you enjoy your time here with our little family!!! For todays challenge and for the next six weeks we are running an anything Goes challenge!! We are being sponsored by Mayzy Art for this challenge and she is giving two lucky winners a prize.... So get creating to!!

I was lucky enough to get work with a Mayzy Art image and I chose Sk8r Boi!! It was nice to create a male card for a change as I haven't made one for awhile!!!
I coloured Sk8r Boi in with tria markers and I'm finally happy with my colouring!! The last few images I have coloured have been pretty average!!! And to make the card all I did was use papers from my scraps, made up my own design, then punched out some stars to finish it off!!!
I have to thank my wonderful friend Sam who was up here Tuesday night for giving me feedback while I was making this!! It was great catching up.. :)

Well that's it, nice quick post!!! Head on over to the PCJ blog to see what the rest of the girls have created and to welcome our new DT members!!
