Last Post as GDT at Emerald Faeries Garden and A&T Designs

Well today is my last day as a GDT member at The Emerald Faeries Challenge Blog. I have absolutely loved creating with all the gorgeous faeries and some of the new papers and images from A&T Deigns!! Thanks to all the DT for having me!!!
This fortnights challenge one was an easy one for me - Buttons - something I love to use! I loved the last baby card I made using Ashee so decided to make one for a baby girl this time!

Sorry about the photo. The days are dull here at the moment so not great for taking bright photos!! I folllowed the sketch over at Stampin for the Weekend!! I coloured Ashee in with Tria markers, added some glitter to her wings and 3-d'd them (can't really tell in this pic) and added some crystal effects to the mushroom spots!! Used papers from my scrap stash, inked around Ashee, then added the ribbon ad all the buttons! The sentiment is from a set I have in my drawer but not sure of the company!!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
* Digi Stamps 4 Joy - Cute as a Button
* Fab n Funky - A New Beginning (mine is New baby)
* Ruby's Rainbow - Things with Wings
* Stampin for the Weekend - Sketch
* Fussy and Fancy - New Baby
* Truly Madly Crafty - 5 (I used 5 buttons on the mushroom and 5 buttons down the side)
* Craft Your Passion - New Baby with the option of stitching

Elisabeth Bell's World May/June Challenge

Wow, I am so glad this day is finally here. I have been wanting to share this card with you and Elisabeth Bell for the past week...  It would have been longer had I had the stamp longer .LOL!!
This month we have a SKETCH for you at Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge Blog and I had a fabulous time playing with this one!!

Whimsy stamps released Elisabeth Bell's Cottage Cuties recently and I just fell in love with them immediately!! This one that I have used today (Apple Blossom) caught my eye as soon as I saw her cos she reminded me of my time with my Nan (who recently passed away)
This is the front of my card

I copied the sketch on the inside of my card too!!

Just a view with the card partially open!!

I coloured Apple Blossom in with Tria markers and added glitter to her hair and the flowers!! I added crystal effects to the apples just so they stood out a bit!! . All the papers are from my stash as are the rhinestones and buttons!! I added the punched out flowers which actually looked better than I envisioned. I ran out of the small rhinestones when I got to doing the inside of the card so ended up using kindglitz in the middle of the flowers!. The sentiment on the front of the card is one from Elisabeth Bell's kits from Whiff of Joy and the sentiment inside is from The Emerald Faeries Garden!
I hope that you can join in with our challenge this month and perhaps we can beat our record of 34 entries which we had last month. It was wonderful to see so many gorgeous creations using Elisabeth Bell's images. Hop on over to the EBW Challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT created!!!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
* Crafts and Me - Flowers

The rest of the card is just  a Pirate DP that I have in my stash that I cut up and stuck on some ribbon!! I then just printed out the sentiment and punched it out and inked around the edge!! Pretty simple card but hopefully the recipient loved it!!!

So much to share!!

Can you believe this? A third post within as many days!! :) NO cards today though. I am well ahead with all my DT committments so I can finally sit down and share all my exciting news with you. So where do I start?
Let me put them in some sort of order:
* Well about 5 minutes ago I just found out that I won Blog Candy over at Sue's Spot... Thanks Sue, can't wait to receive my goodies. I also recently won a $15 gift voucher from magnolia-licious through Jacque's Sunday Sensations.
* I have won a few challenges also at LEJ Designs, Seems a Little Sketchy, and Creatalicious challenges.
* A couple of weeks ago  I got asked to be a GDT member at the 4 Crafty Chicks challenge blog so I will be starting with them on the 7th June.
* I also applied for a DT position at Seems a Little Sketchy earlier this month and was successful so I start with them on the 9th June
* Logan has also managed to get on a DT too - He will be a Designer on the Craft your passion Kids Blog in June and is also applying for a permanent position!! He is very excited!!
* As much as all these wonderful things have happened to me this last thing has to be the most exciting thing that is coming up! Tim Holtz is making his way Down Under thanks to Stamp-It at the end of June and I am EXCITED to say that one of my bestest friend's, Sam and I,  managed to get tickets for his afternoon class in Melbourne on the 24th June making this amazing piece of art work
I cannot begin to tell you how excited we are!! The classes are all sold out so we are super lucky!! I will definitely post about the awesome experience and show you what I created (not sure that it will look anything like this though..:)

Friends are the flowers of Life!!

I have had this card made for awhile but really wanted to enter it in a Tiddly Inks challenge and today I can. I won this "Wrynn - Grow a Little Love" image awhile ago but as I have thousands of digi images and hundreds of rubber images getting around to using it has taken me awhile!! The challenge at Tiddly Inks is Flowers and although I don't have a lot of flowers on my card I decided to enter anyway or Í'll forget I've made this card!
So I have again used papers from my stash!! I am trying not to buy new design papers for the rest of the year (but it is only May so not sure how I will go) LOL! The frame, the image and the sentiment are all from Tiddly Inks! I coloured Wrynn in with Tria markers and the hearts in with a red glitter pen. I nked behind Wrynn with a colourbox ink. The flowers are from my stash as are the rhinestones! To finish I added the kindyglitz!!

It's the third friday of the month so you know what that means!! Yep, it's time to see the newest Elisabeth Bell digi and do a bit of a Blog Hop!! So if you have already been dazzled by Renkata's gorgeous creation then you are in the right spot. If not head back to The Digi Bell's Blog cos you don't want to miss out on seeing any of the gorgeous DT creations. As soon as I received this gorgeous new image I just had to colour her up. She is just adorable and how cute is that little lamb!
Introducing "Little Lamb"!!
I coloured  "Little Lamb" in with Tria markers and added kindyglitz to her dress!! I've used kaisercraft papers, then added ribbon, buttons and I mad some flowers!! I wasn't sure what to put in the blank space in the top right hand corner so I decided to get a bit creative and made my handmade flowers to create a bigger flower and place a button in the middle with some cotton and it just worked perfectly!! To finish off the card I added Kindyglitz to all the dots on the polka dot paper!!
Well that's it from me... if you love this adorable image - "Little Lamb" then head on over to Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection and purchase her right away or join in on the hop  and the challenge and you have a chance to win her. The Emerald Faeries Challenge - GDT

It's time for a new challenge at The Emerald Faeries Challenge Blog. I actually thought I was late in getting this card done but I guess that's what you get when you look at the clock after midnight! Anyway, i got this card made on time and have even had time to schedule this post (I'm probably yelling at kids to get ready for school as you read this :))
So our challenge for this fortnight is to use embossing - it can be wet or dry or both - you choose!! I went with dry embossing. I showed a card to my friend Ang today (who is also a fellow crafter and my training buddy) and she said I always do blue/teal and brown cards (and she was right) so I decided to move away from those colours and go bright and bold!! :) Thanks Ang cos I love how it turned out...

I went through my paper stash first to see what colours to colour The Larakins and came across this Kaszazz SB paper, I then embossed some purple cardstock. I found some yellow ribbon which I added to cover the join of the two papers! I then coloured The Larakins in with tria markers and used Twinkling H20's on their wings!!. I attached The Larakins to the card with a brad and then to finish off the card I added some kindyglitz afew rhinestones to the flowers on the SB paper and  made some shrinky butterflies and stuck them on!! A perfect spring card which is not the kind of weather we are having here but I can dream!! Why not head on over the Emerald faeries Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the DT got up to!!
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
* Paper Sundaes - Things with Wings
* 2 Sisters - Make it Girlie
* Fussy and Fancy - Butterflies, Ribbons and Punches
* Crafty Ribbons - Flowers
* Do You Stack Up - Use a Flower
* Truly Scrumptious - Anything Goes

Black + 1 challenge at Paper Crafting Journey!!

Yes it's time for a new Paper Crafting Journey challenge and this fortnight we want to see your creations using Black plus 1 other colour. I would usually choose Red to go with black but I decided to have a go at using Yellow. And I am so glad I did because I just love how this card turned out!!
I decided to go through my dozens of unused stamps and came across this Stampavie image - Zoe gazing at the Butterfly.

I just knew yellow would look perfect on this imageI coloured all the flowers on her hat with glitter pen and the rest of the image is coloured in with Tria markers. I followed the sketch over at Chocolate, Coffee and Cards challenge blog and I used all papers from my stash (it's a big stash). I then added buttons and rhinestones. the sentiment is from an Inkadinkado stamp set that I won awhile ago!!
I'm sure plenty of you will want to join in with this challenge so head on over to Paper Crafting Journey's new blog and see what the rest of the talented DT have created and see what prize is up for grabs!!

Live, Laugh, Love!!

Hello, hope you are having/or had a fabulous day! We had a Mother's Day Morning tea at my son's kinder this morning. The kids have been busy making us necklaces and cards and we were given a hand massage from our kids!! It was lovely!!
Well it's my turn to post over on The Digi Bell's Blog and I couldn't decide which image to use so I decided to use six instead - "I Love You This Much", "A Tasty Read", "Sweet Tooth Mary", Little Rapunzel", "Li'l Lillian" and Li'l Princess TuTu ". You can get all these and many more adorable images from Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection.

Sorry about the bad photo.. The I love you this much  image seems to be blurred and I took about twenty photos but it kept blurring!!
I chose the colours from the spotted paper which I think is from a Kaisercraft Christmas range from a few years ago!! All the EB images are coloured in with Tria markers with a glitter pen used on all of them!! The flowers are from my stash and the sentiment is from Kaszazz. Every second square is mounted on foam squares for a bit of depth..
That's it from me today!!!

A&T Designs sketch challenge #4 - GDT

Wow, where have the past two weeks gone! Already time for a new sketch challenge at A&T Designs Sketch Challenge Blog. This fortnight we have have this fabulous sketch to work with!!

I had fun playing with this sketch and even had my son helping me put the card together!! Here is what I created!!!

I already had this image coloured up so based my DP around that. I used some papers from Kaszazz then just added some ribbon, flowers, rhinestones and a little ladybird (that I think I've had lying around for about 10 years). The only thing I changed from the  sketch is where I put the sentiment!!
That's it from me today but head on over to the A&T Designs sketch challenge Blog to see what the rest of the DT have created!!

Anything Goes at EFG

Hi there, just a super quick post as I have a tonne of housework to do before rushing off to do aquarobics!!
It's time for a new challenge at The Emerald Faeries Garden Challenge Blog and this fortnight it's an easy one - Anything Goes!!

I used the A&T Designs magical mushies digital paper and tag, made some butterfly shrinkies and coloured in a Magnolia Mushroom for Isabella to sit on!! I coloured both the images in with Tria markers and coloured Isabella's wings in with H2O's. I put the mushroom and Isabella up on foam dots and pushed her wings out a bit!!

Head on over to the The Emerald Faeries Garden Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT have created and then join in the fun!!
