So first off I have a card that I made on the weekend while I was at my friend Colleen's. She is the one who got me into cardmaking and I think it's the best thing I have ever gotten into!!
Anyway, I used Henry the Mouse from Whiff of Joy Stamps on this card!! It was for a friends birthday but it was now a week ago so don't think I'll send it!! LOL! It's the thought that counts, right!! :) I used my aqua crayons to colour Henry and I've put some kindyglitz on the cake and candle! The sentiment is a Kaszazz stamp. Not sure what company the striped paper is but the cardstock is Kaszazz.
I have entered this card in the following challenges
* Whiff of Joy Challenges: Let's Celebrate
*Top Tip Tuesday: Happy Birthday
* Kaboodle Doodles: Happy Birthday
I was sitting here last night and already had this Sweet Pea stamp coloured and wasn't too sure what to make so I went on over to Feline Playful to see what sketches were around for this week!! I needed something to suit this stamp so I decided to follow the Quirky Crafts Sketch. Pretty simple sketch but great for the idea that I had to make this card!! I've had the skull and bones stamp for awhile and thought it was perfect for this card so I just embossed them in black straight onto the red card!! So all papers are from Kaszazz and I coloured this image with aquacrayons. I've also used Twinkling H20's on the sail and I added crystal effects to the water and to the glass of the telescope. I showed my boys this card this morning and they just loved it!
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
* Quirky cards: Sketch
* Simon Says Stamp: Happy Birthday
* Incy Wincy Designs: For the Boys
* Let's Ink It Up: Embossing
This final creation is an altered notebook! My youngest son has recently started speech therapy and in each session, as encouragement to focus, he is given lots of stickers. So I thought it would be great for him to have a book to keep them all in so he can see how well he is doing!! So while making cards last night I decided that I would decorate the front of his notebook.. So this morning while the boys were at kinder and school I did it!! And I love it and realized that I could easily get sucked into scrapbooking!! As Colleen pointed out the other night, it's just like making cards but on a larger scale and I get to keep the end result!! Won't start that just yet.. :)
So I used this weeks The Sweet Stop Sketch to guide me and Logan chose the stamp he wanted!! I know that it's just a card on a slightly larger scale but I am so excited about how this looks!! I'm very proud of myself because I think I doubt what I can do sometimes!! So in the future you may start seeing some other altered projects or scrapbook pages!! Stay Tuned!!
Again I am not sure where the patterned papers are from but the cardstock is Kaszazz! I coloured the sweet Pea image in with my new Tria Markers which I'm sure I'll get better at using!! I've also used copics and H20's. (If you want to know the colours I've used please feel free to ask!!) Again I added crystal effects to the water and the telescope lens. The orange ribbon I've used is Stampin Up but not sure where the blue ribbon is from and the rhinestone stars are from Kaszazz. And of course I needed more bling so I added kindyglitz to all the small stars on the patterned paper!!
By the way, in case you were wondering, Logan absolutely loved his book and now Liam wants one done so that the stickers he gets from school for doing good work can be kept also!!
I have entered this into the following challenges:
* The Sweet Stop: Sketch
* Scrap Creations: Anything Goes
Well I think I have kept you long enough!! Hope you have liked what you have seen!!
Until Next Time... Enjoy!! xx
