Hello and thanks for flying in for Creations by Gill M's Fairy Day Blog Hop
If you are taking part in the hop and have arrived from the fairy mad Gill's Blog then you have started at the right place but if you have just come across this posting while browsing around in blog land then hop back to Gill's Blog and fly along with us..
This is a hop with a difference as along the hop there are letters to find in the postings - not all blogs have the letters but if you gather all the letters then at the end of the hop on day 2 assemble them to create a fairy related word. If you then return to Gill's blog and enter the Mr Linky at the bottom of the post (do not reveal the secret word yet). After the hop Gill will contact someone at random and ask them to email her with the word - if correct they win some lovely candy.
I wasn't too sure what I was going to do for this hop as I have two boys so I don't create a lot of girly things but when I got my first Emerald Faeries stamp, I decided I had to have more!! And now I have the whole collection - thanks Deb. I recently saw a mushroom log basic tutorial on the Paper Crafter's Library and knew this is what I wanted to use for my creation!! It's taken me a few weeks to get all the pieces coloured and put together but I am really happy with the end result!! I'm even happier that my wonderful friend, Angela took some gorgeous photos today in her garden at the foot of a gnome and in her plants which has just made this look even more special!! I also took some more photos in my garden but not sure you really capture all the details.. Sorry there are so many photos buut didn't want you to miss out on anything !!
Isn't it "Fairy Fantastic"!! I used some EK success paper to make the log (which actually took me a long time to make), just randomly cut out the grass then coloured up all the faeries!! I think I used nearly all the Tria's I have..LOL! All the wings have clear smooch on them, and the faeries hair has flecks of gold spica pen through them. And the flowers have (glitter) Fairy Dust sprinkled on them! I stuck some acetate behind some of the faeries just so that they would stand up a bit better. I have also sprayed all the grass with vanilla shimmer smooch spritz!! Thanks Sam for the suggestion! And for extra effect (not that you can see) I put some kindyglitz behind the snail to make the effect of a snail trail!! And the last addition was the ladybug which I remembered I've had stuck to my mirror for the last 10 years!!
Now it's time to fly on over to Emily's blog and check out her fairyliscious creation!!
Don't forget to keep a look out for letters on some of the hop stops today and tomorrow that make up a fairy related word then head back to Gill's Blog and enter your name with Inlinkz.
Thanks for flying by - dont forget to check out Gill's Blog again tomorrow for day 2 and to gather the rest of the hidden letters.
