My first card is using a Kenny K image - Rock Chick
Now this card really is CAS! The "brick" paper is from Fab Scraps which I distressed around the edges and tore it on the side, I then printed the graffiti onto it which was a digi from Beyond the Fringe Crafts... I then coloured Rock Chick in with Tria markers and popped her up on 3D dots and tada card complete!! I actually love the way it turned out!! I did try to add some embellishments but it just didn't look right!!
For this second card I used the sentiment "Bad Day Fishing"from Floppy Latte.
I had a few images I could have used for this but the way Edwin is sitting I thought this one matched the sentiment the best!! So I found the this blue card already folded ready to be used!! I found some brown and orange scraps of CS, sat Edwin (who was coloured with Tria markers) on top of his log and placed him on top of the CS!!! I then stamped some fish around the rest of the space on the blue CS and added the "bubbles". I think this one turned out ok too but would not recommnd making cards after drinking for a few hours :)
If you haven't already come from the CYP blog then head on over there to seee what the rest of the DT have created and don't forget to come back on Friday for our Blog Hop!!!
These are both wonderful Alethea! I love the first one the backing paper is stunning. The sentiment on the second made me chuckle. Have a wonderful week.

Love both your cards Leath, the brick wall looks awesome as does your colouring of course!!!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards turned out wonderful! Love the combination of background brick, graffiti, and the Kenny K image. All of the distressing adds great detail. The second card is sweet. Love the pairing of Edwin and the fun sentiment. The little fish on the blue paper make me smile.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are fabulous. The backgound with the bricks is great. And Edwin fisching is also gorgeous.

What a cool idea to print the graffiti on top of the brick paper! That looks great! And I agree, it would not look right with a lot of embellishments or bling. Well done Alethea!
